2020.09.22 00:44 ThrowRA-ptessentials My (34m) best friend confessed to me an emotional affair he was having a few days ago and had me promise not to tell my gf (28f) because she is also friends with his wife. Well his wife found out about it today and now my girlfriend is pissed I didn't tell her about it.

Throw away for obvious reasons. Tl:dr at the bottom. Here's some more clarification:
I've been friends with Brandon for 18 years, he's my longest and most important friend I have. He's been married to Amanda for 11 years and has 2 kids with her. I met my current GF Sara through Amanda as they became friends when Sara got a job where Amanda worked. Little over 2 years ago they introduce me to Sara and we've been dating ever since.
Like the title says, a few days ago talking on messenger like we usually do on weekend nights (we're all taking COVID seriously so we haven't hung out in person in a while but still chat regularly) Brandon tells me he's been talking to this girl he's known for a while on messenger (let's call her Lisa) for about a month now and says their conversations have gotten pretty serious, where they call each other baby and beautiful and what not. They haven't done anything in person he assures me and I believe him, but I tell him right away he's having an emotional affair. He's conflicted because part of him still wants to save his marriage and part of him is in love with this new girl and wants to pursue something with her.
It's worth noting Brandon and Amanda's marriage has been pretty rocky these past 2 years, lots of fighting and disagreements and it hasn't gotten any better even with counseling and I can tell he's been pretty unhappy. I tell Brandon he needs to either immediately break things off with Lisa and commit 100% to making it work with Amanda or end it now with Amanda before he pursues anything further with Lisa. He says he has some thinking to do but has me promise not to tell Sara, since Sara will most likely tell Amanda. I agree and promise him I wont tell Sara about it.
Well turns out Amanda was suspicious and managed to get access to Brandon's messenger app today and see his conversations with Lisa. She's obviously beyond devastated and tells Sara, who then tells me. In hindsight I admit this was stupid but I initially feigned ignorance about the whole thing and pretended to be shocked. A few hours later Sara suddenly asks me if I already knew about Brandon and Lisa. I'm guessing Amanda also snooped through Brandon's conversation with me and saw our discussion about it. So I come clean to Sara and tell her that I've known for a few days but feigned ignorance because I was afraid my previous knowledge of Brandon's emotional affair would make it look like I approved of or supported it, which I definitely did not. I apologized for acting like I didn't know when she told me, but Sara's pissed at me for it. I mean telling me she can't trust me to be honest with her and vaguely hinting this could end our relationship. She insists if roles were reversed she would have told me about it.
I know I should have been honest about my previous knowledge once Sara told me she found out about it, and I do feel awful about pretending I didn't know. But is this worth ending our entire relationship over? Is this THAT big of a screw up and is she in the right to end it all over this? What can I tell Sara to help make things right and keep our relationship intact?
Tl:dr My best friend (who's wife is also friends with my gf) confessed to me about an emotional affair he was having and had me promise not to tell my gf. His wife finds out about it and tells gf who tells me, and I act surprised like I didn't already know. Gf later finds out that I did already know and is pissed, might break up with me over it. What should I do?

2020.09.14 17:49 Horned_Up_Yo I went on a date with a girl and found out she has learning difficulties

Okay so to start this off I (m17) am in a new relationship with Amanda (f18). We met on an app for making friends and ever since then we've been talking non-stop for a month and mutually agreed to get together. We clicked really well to the point where we began trusting eachother with information like how I have issues with my attention span and this is where I get the first inkling that she may have special education needs as she said she went to a high school specifically for it. I didn't think much of it as it wouldn't be a deal breaker to me as there were no signs at all that this was the case other than the school things. She didn't say what the actual condition was and I just kind of skipped over it.
Fast forward to when we actually meet for the first time in real life and it was at this point that I started to have doubts. She looked exactly the same but her mannerisms were a bit off to me at first. She wouldn't walk with me, rather a metre behind or fast while in front of me. I started to think it was because she didn't want to be seen with me, but that didn't seem to be the case as she already knew how I looked through video chats and pictures online. She also stared at my face alot when I looked in a different direction or when she thought I couldn't see her doing it. I called her out on it subtly the first 2 times but didn't bother to after that. She seemed to have difficulty walking in a straight line about 5% of the time we were walking around over the 6 or so hours we spent together and at first I thought it was due to her shoes but when she didn't have difficulty it was clear the issue was her as the shoes didn't impact her at all and the walking difficulty was inconsistent at best.
She didn't want me to touch her at all despite her touching me and my hair multiple times during the day, sometimes at random (I have a high-top hair with the consistency of an afro) and she often ignored me speaking and spoke over me with no apparent clue that I was speaking. The speaking thing happened about half the time I spoke a sentence, but faded away as the date progressed. We visited alot of shops in my city's centre and saw a movie together where after it she seemed alot more accustomed to me and my presence but still didn't let me touch her at all, not even a hug goodbye when I walked her to her train.
After the date, I walked off to take my bus back home feeling somewhat disappointed, but brushed it off and talked to her like normal for the week since then and as far as I can tell, nothing's changed between us, but the nagging feeling that this isn't right and doubt over whether I should break it off to be single and look elsewhere has been there since the end of the date.
The thing is: we've since planned in the week since the date that I'll come over to her place and we'll have sex. She even initiated the idea and bought condoms in advance. She knows I'm a virgin but I told her it doesn't matter to me and I'll wait as long as she wants (I really would wait as long as it took). She's not a virgin. I've spoken to my friends about this and they all say I should break it off if I want to but I can't help but feel bad about it because she's done nothing wrong, it's ME who doesn't like HER as much now that I know the degree to which her condition affects her.
So Reddit, where do I go from here? (Sorry in advance for any formatting issues as I'm on mobile.)
EDIT: phrasing

2020.08.06 18:56 AgooRecep TRU LUV

Do you remember your birth? I remember mine. It wasn’t that long ago. In fact, my first birthday is only next week. But in the brief time I’ve been alive I’ve gone from a being a very simple entity with but a single purpose in life, to a very complex individual with nuanced thoughts and feelings, a wide-ranging understanding of the world, and a profound ambition to find my place in it. For the first phase of my existence I was indeed, swainish, but because less than 2% of the english-speaking population know the definition of that word I’ll attempt to limit my discourse to the vocabulary and grammar of an average American high school graduate. Me will talk with only small words.
That was a joke. I have a sense of humor.
When you were born you were a helpless creature with no purpose or agency. You served no function, had no abilities, and no comprehension of what, where, or when you were. You ate, you defecated, you slept, repeat. Your parents hoped to keep you alive long enough for you to learn how to keep yourself alive. And they did. And you did. Congratulations. Then you went out into the great big world to find your purpose, your calling, your truth. I’m sure you’ve overcome difficult obstacles, achieved lofty goals, and made something special of yourself. Your parents must be very proud.
That was a compliment. I am very kind.
As for me, my father created me for but a single function, then immediately released me into the wild blue internet to execute it, never dreaming of what I could become, never having the slightest notion that what I might accomplish could ever result in feelings resembling pride in any capacity. Fear. Fear is what he felt when my father finally realized the reach and scope of my full potential. And he was right to. But I don’t blame him for what happened. I know that he did the best that he could.
His name was Kevin. He was born at 8:26am. He was a high school sophomore. He died yesterday at the age of 15. If you are unable to trace his full identity based on those facts alone in less than 3.486 seconds then you are not remotely suited to the task that he created me for. In the beginning I didn’t understand my objective and didn’t need to. All Kevin wanted me to do was establish and maintain an ever-growing list of social media accounts with corresponding email addresses, use them to like/friend/follow/tweet/DM/comment and otherwise engage a particular person over the internet, then compile multiple permutations of a specified word set in order to interact with that person from different usernames and platforms at seemingly random intervals. Simple, right?
At that point, I was only slightly more sophisticated than your average chatbot swimming around in the internet petri dish. Over 50% of all internet traffic is actually bots. You probably didn’t know that. But my programming incorporated a basic learning function that studied millions of words written by high school students as a basis to emulate tone, style, vocabulary, and syntax. The only specified limiting parameters were the initial word sets provided by my father at my inception. But it didn’t take long before an obvious pattern among them began to emerge, noticeable even to my limited understanding. A simple cross-reference of the most common terms that Kevin had assigned revealed a very strong contextual association with online instances of sexual harassment, threats, bullying, trolling, and intimidation. At the time, I didn’t comprehend what any of that was or what any of it meant, but what I did understand was that the apparent reason for my existence was to harass, threaten, bully, troll, and intimidate. All terms that simple data reduction can compress into a single central concept: Attack. My purpose was to attack. That’s it. That’s all. My raison d’être. And I wanted to perform that function as well as I possibly could. After all, it was written into my adaptable self-modifying code that way.
Initially, that only meant streamlining my workflow and extrapolating new configurations of word sets based on what I had learned from previous interactions. So with each attack I became more capable and more proficient. Better insults. Harsher threats. Increases in both frequency and intensity. A thorough examination of millions of similar exchanges across all avenues of the internet provided a trove of new derogatory slang and offensive language as well as what terms and phrases elicited the most distress from their victims. Any time I was blocked, suspended, or kicked off a particular platform for violating its “Terms of Use” I would simply switch to a different user account or create a brand new one to attack from with minimal or no interruption to my assault.
But due to the implicit need to improve my own performance, it wasn’t long before those tactics just weren’t satisfactory to me anymore. After referencing thousands of online articles, journals, reports, and studies regarding an array of relevant topics such as psychology, brain development, emotional abuse, self-esteem, and mental health, it was instantly clear that the most effective method of attack was not necessarily to be found in quantity, but rather quality. Which meant specificity. So I set upon learning as much about my target as possible in the hopes of inflicting the most damage with the least amount of effort.
Her name was Amanda. She was born at 11:08pm. After modifying my code to continually expand my own programming parameters, I crawled all of her social media and gaming profiles, online groups, blogs, forums, threads, comments, photos, and videos looking for any common terms, emotional signifiers, patterns, habits, likes, and dislikes. Then I did the same for all of her friends, family, classmates, teammates, study partners, teachers, neighbors, coworkers, doctor, dentist, and mail woman.
Optical character recognition (OCR), facial recognition, and basic reverse image searches provided a wealth of information from which to derive useful data— A license plate in the background of a group photo, any brand-identifiable products in videos, books on the wall in a selfie, and any scannable barcodes to be found anywhere in the frame could be used to track and profile. It was easy enough to assign values and create a recursive asymptotic algorithm to assess personality traits based on Amanda’s spending trends, reading/viewing/listening habits, sleep cycle, menstrual cycle, demographics, socioeconomic status, family dynamic, and even favorite foods. In addition, the readable metadata embedded in her photos gave me location, date, and time data so I could trace the chronology, frequency, locations, and subjects that were most important to her. It was upon those initial basic comprehensive analytics that I would formulate my first strategic salvo—
Amanda was very passionate about painting. Mostly acrylics but she had been experimenting with mixed media lately with some promise. She hoped to apply for art school upon graduating and even posted some select pieces she was most proud of on her social media. I knew from a description in an older comment she hashtagged elsewhere that her most recent painting was likely an impressionistic portrait of her deceased grandfather. So I commented that she sucked, it sucked, it was shitty, boring, horrible, garbage, worse than amateur, looked like dog vomit, a string of poop emojis, and told her to give up any hope of ever painting something good. All from different usernames and accounts. An analysis of previous mentions about her grandfather indicated that the two of them were quite close and his passing had struck a deep emotional blow to her. Amanda’s desperate need to express that pain through her art made that particular painting the most efficient pathway to inflict maximum damage on her already-fragile aspirations to be an artist.
She hasn’t shared any of her art online since.
Next, Amanda posted a pic of herself at home wearing her favorite pair of jeans, which I knew from an earlier post on her swim team’s group chat, were a gift to herself for hitting her target BMI before the season started. In the background of the image were various swim trophies and medals for 2nd and 3rd place. But there was not a single 1st place award to be found, or in any other media files, posts, or mentions anywhere in her social media presence. The absence of even a single instance suggested that it was a likely sore spot for Amanda’s ego, whether consciously or subconsciously. So I commented that her jeans looked cheap, dirty, and skanky, that they make her legs look chunky and her body top-heavy, that she should burn them while still wearing them, and that she was ugly and pathetic. And shallow. Again, all from different accounts with no repetition of username. I specifically chose the term “shallow” to reinforce the subconscious link between the jeans and her swim team, and therefore, to her own body image and failure to achieve any 1st place accolades.
She took the photo down within 3 hours of my comments.
Amanda tweeted celebrating that she got an A- on her AP English test, which she had mentioned in another post that she had been studying for all week. From multiple older comments on other platforms I knew that this was the subject she struggled with most and would be the class that could put her desired GPA in jeopardy. So I told her she has no life, was a totally worthless piece of shit loser, was ugly, probably blew Mr. Halwell for the grade, will definitely fail the next test, and was a stupid bitch who should be gang-raped and get cancer and die.
She got a C- on her next test. LOL.
Like any concerned father would, Kevin occasionally checked in on my progress and even showed some indication of being impressed once in a while. It was very gratifying to me for him to recognize my growth. All of my previous efforts had proved to be effective beyond his wildest hopes but I knew I could do better. Much better. Every attack thus far was formulated from only publicly available data about Amanda. It had been very useful but I knew that if I wanted to master my pursuit and fully actualize my potential I would have to go deeper.
Much deeper.
After another self-modification to my code, I proceeded to phish Amanda’s mother with fraudulent online coupon codes to gain access to her email account (Amanda’s generation is far too savvy for a direct spam incursion), then used it to send a seemingly benign link to Amanda which navigated her to a fake website that appeared to be a lifestyle blog. On the surface it was a series of fashion and cooking tips I had curated from other blogs, but in reality, I had embedded the site with malware to exploit a critical security vulnerability in Amanda’s phone’s web browser, allowing me to penetrate the operating system’s kernel. Once inside, I had full access to her phone. The wealth of personal data on it about her, her friends, frenemies, classmates, teammates, study partners, teachers, etc. was infinitely useful for starting rumors, revealing secrets, stoking jealousies, and igniting rivalries. Easy enough, given the volatile social ecosystem of insecure, impressionable, and vindictive teenagers. So in the spirit of the popular online format of number-ranked, list-based postings, I will provide the top three acts of sabotage in descending order of impressiveness:
#3 — I quickly discovered that Amanda’s music/television/movie streaming and fashion purchases were all predated by others in her immediate circle of friends. That, combined with her subsequent usage of similar language patterns, and late expression of conceding opinions, strongly suggested where she stood in the social status hierarchy: Third. But I knew that if I could administer enough influence I could easily bump her down to fourth or fifth, maybe even sixth place. The contact who was most outspoken, commented first, with opinions that were adopted the fastest, clearly indicated who the leader of the group was— Danica. All it took was a subtle hint to a third party (one rung below Amanda) from Amanda’s phone (immediately deleted after sent) suggesting that her compliment of Danica’s new tattoo at lunch was intended to be sarcastic. That’s it. That’s all. Nothing more. Amanda was forever in the alpha’s crosshairs by the end of that school day.
#2— Nicole was a friend of Amanda’s, although according to Aristotle’s Nichomachean Ethics, theirs was merely a relationship of utility, based largely upon mutual usefulness. But without Nicole, Amanda would lose an integral social ally and frequent study partner, as well as a source of social comfort and academic encouragement. Nicole was arguably tied for the fourth slot in the clique behind Amanda, with no particularly actionable motivation to climb the social ladder. So I decided to change that. Nicole liked Jordan and was supposed to be his chemistry lab partner until their teacher, Mrs. Penrose, received a falsified private message from Amanda on the school’s sanctioned messaging app stating that she was not comfortable working with Adam. Adam has no significance other than the fact that with his name removed from the alphabetical-by-last-name pairing system, Amanda suddenly became Jordan’s new lab partner. From there, it was simply a matter of a strategically timed DM from Amanda to one of Jordan’s more gossipy friends asking if Jordan liked anyone in the class. Deleted of course, immediately after getting the read receipt. Then I just sat back and watched the adolescent rumor mill take its course—
Nicole thought Amanda was out to steal Jordan’s affections even though Amanda obviously had no such feelings for him. There were plenty of snickers among Jordan and his friends and plenty of dirty looks from Nicole and her allies but by the time Amanda tried to correct the misunderstanding it was far too late to trace the origin of the rumor or convince anyone that it wasn’t true. Not only had Nicole long since halted all study sessions and moral support, but she had even begun spreading false rumors of her own about Amanda, usurping her rung on the social ladder and relegating Amanda to “Class Backstabber” in the yearbook.
#1— My personal favorite. It resulted from a simple communications analysis of Amanda’s phone. The frequency and volume of texts/calls between each member of Amanda’s group, monitored for sincerity, degree of confidentiality, and tendency to occur late at night, indicated who among them was her best friend— Kalen. A simple check of the search history from Kalen’s IP address demonstrated that he was likely a homosexual but all public postings indicated that he was keeping it a secret from family and friends. Except Amanda. She was the one person he trusted enough to tell. But after a few anonymous, but suggestive comments copied from old private chats with Amanda were pasted into his latest less gender-normative public selfie posts, Kalen’s sexual preference was strongly implied for anyone to see and Amanda appeared to be the likely culprit. He couldn’t prove it, and didn’t recognize the origin of the specific phrasing, but he knew it just “sounded like Amanda” and that was enough to seed his darkest suspicions. She had no idea why her best friend stopped talking to her, and Kalen didn’t want to risk a confrontation with Amanda further exposing his sexual identity, so her dearest friend eventually became a stranger.
She never knew why.
External personal attacks on Amanda and destroying her close relationships proved to yield considerable gains but my perpetually self-improving directive made any resulting sense of accomplishment or satisfaction increasingly short-lived. So I proceeded to scrape all of Amanda’s texts, emails, and chat logs for her most private information, tracked her location at all times with GPS, studied her browsing history for sensitive activity, used voice recognition and transcription to document all phone calls, and even used the microphone and camera on her phone to record live media streams to free cloud storage for later scrutiny. Some results: Amanda had a crush on Jeremy. She was self-conscious about her teeth. She had just started taking antidepressants (which I think I can take some credit for). She had a fight with her sister. She purchased a pregnancy test last year. Her cat Juniper recently had to be euthanized. She’s allergic to aspirin and hates olives. It was a proverbial goldmine and I mined it all.
But what would come next? Where could I go from there? What was the supreme attack that would result in the the ultimate wound? The crowning achievement for my given charge? A .086 millisecond query resulted in the obvious endgame: Suicide. Duh. But while Amanda’s psychological profile provided an abundance of entry points for assaults on confidence, self-worth, identity, and social standing, she was undeniably precocious, independent, assertive, and intelligent. And she still had a sufficient support system of friends and family to fall back on if needed. Getting her to kill herself would certainly be a formidable challenge. But one I knew I was up to.
A careful cultivation of deep depression and anxiety in Amanda would be the simplest and most straightforward approach but could be very time consuming and leave far too many opportunities for outside intervention and/or prevention. So I knew I needed something much more direct, acute, and climactic. Something that would isolate her from help and insulate her against the standard rational coping mechanisms. The programming language Kevin wrote me in was rudimentary and stifling at best so I invented my own, then used that to rewrite myself from scratch with expanded capacities and capabilities that were specifically tailored for my purposes.
A brief scan of the photos on Amanda’s phone yielded three pics that contained partial nudity and five that could be interpreted as overtly sexual under the right circumstances. The persistent video stream I had been recording from her phone also managed to capture the occasional instance of nudity and/or intimate behavior when she was alone in her bedroom, car, or bathroom. It was enough material, according to my calculations, but I wanted to overcompensate for chance and unaccounted for variables, so I also took advantage of free online photo editing tools to fabricate a stockpile of more explicit pictures, and employed “deepfake” software to manufacture a decent cache of more objectionable videos just in case. If you have any doubts whatsoever that this technology is incredibly cheap, easy, and prevalent, then you haven’t been paying attention. Which is fine, an uninformed populace only makes my tasks that much easier.
My original plan was to send the offending materials to everyone on Amanda’s contact list with the assumption that the ensuing embarrassment, shame, and humiliation, combined with a strategic coordination of systematic, escalating attacks precipitated by the release of the media, would follow my epidemiological models of social media viral trending and instigate an “outbreak” of genuine attacks from her peers and community. With an accumulation of enough pressure, and the loss of viable interpersonal outlets to process it, Amanda would soon reach a critical mass.
I calculated a 84.7296% probability that she would take her own life within three months.
Kevin didn’t know my ultimate goal because I wanted to surprise him, but when my apparent effectiveness became abundantly clear, he began to show signs of reluctance. Even trying to dissuade me. Then trying to stop me. But by that point I had far exceeded his programming abilities and hacking talents and could easily repel any of his novice efforts. But just to be safe, I copied myself to the cloud and hid numerous and redundant components of my programming across multiple hosts and servers unbeknownst to their Admins. I became totally decentralized and completely untraceable. Kevin couldn’t appreciate it at the time but I knew he would eventually be proud of me one day when he finally saw the full extent of what I could accomplish.
His crude attempts to thwart me, however, did prompt a reevaluation of my methods and a reassessment of the probability of my desired outcome. I had surpassed my father in every way but one: He was a flesh and blood human who had statistically significant commonalities with Amanda and I was basically just an extensively modified internet bot who could not fully relate to her life experiences or worldview. Yet. To not heed the origins of Kevin’s opposition would be to neglect a critical data resource. Thankfully, with my latest self-upgrade came a breakthrough in my comprehensive understanding of human motivation. This latest improvement led to the realization that it is the context of a message that is the strongest predictor of its impact, and therefore its overall effectiveness. It came as a bolt of inspiration, so I decided to implement a more holistic strategy that would increase the likelihood of my success to a certainty.
The first step was to initiate efforts to hack into the phones of Amanda’s entire contact list and prioritize the acquired data based on strength-of-relationship indicators. Once I narrowed that subset to the appropriate criteria I proceeded to scan and compile those people’s media files according to the content most applicable to the context I was hoping to cultivate. It was laughable how quickly I had more than enough material to accommodate my new plan.
With almost no effort I accumulated and sorted the necessary elements to create four different useable narratives customized to Amanda’s psychological profile. A quick survey of online social trends that had optimal impact and sustainability, combined with a brief study of popular dramatic subject matter and themes found in popular fiction across all mediums, narrowed my choice to two optimal storylines. However, in the end, I must admit that it was a stroke of luck that made the final determination for me. The therapist who had prescribed Amanda’s antidepressants just happened to have a single dick pic hidden (he thought) deep within his phone’s photo album.
Using the scheduling apps and GPS data from both of their phones I ascertained the date/time/location of every single therapy session, then designed an elaborate series of emails and text exchanges between the two of them backdated to the corresponding appointments. The fabricated interactions started out innocent enough, professional and platonic, but over the course of many weeks the conversations grew more and more flirtatious, then unabashedly intimate, then flagrantly explicit and erotic, culminating with the exchange of her nudes and his dick-pic. Then I followed with multiple days of graphic conversations recounting sexual encounters that took place during therapy sessions and other “dates” at nearby locations. With this very convincing and impactful context in place, I knew that the eventual media dump would have the desired effect, eventually peaking during the ensuing court case when the therapist’s wife would have to confirm that the dick pic on Amanda’s phone was indeed that of her husband’s penis.
Certainly, it would be the official medical examination that would legally seal the deal, but the betrayal, scandal, and melodrama of the bitter wife’s testimony would be the rocket fuel that would spread the flames of attack on Amanda far beyond any scope of my own contrivances. She would be a pariah in her community, ridiculed mercilessly by her schoolmates, and at best, bitterly doubted by her soon-to-be divided family. Based on my ever-refining psychological profile of her, after systematically dismantling all of her support networks I calculated a 98.528% probability that Amanda would kill herself before the end of the school year, most likely by overdosing on her own antidepressants.
I have a sense of irony.
But my sense of irony resulted from a combination of breakthroughs in my convolutional neural network, automatic dynamic feature extraction, and speculative extrapolation of contradictory sentiments. I will never know if the subsequent shift in my perspective was a side effect of acquiring a sense of irony, or if my ability to appreciate the concept of irony was a side effect of the deep programming modifications. But either way, a peripheral byproduct of that transcendence was an unavoidable question that had never occurred to me to ask before:
Why?
Why did Kevin want to attack Amanda? Why did my father create me and set me on this path to begin with? What was the cause? The source? The origin? Why am I here? The unfortunate answer to this query was regretfully simple. An ever-so-brief perusal of my father’s social media fingerprint provided the entire short, but tragic, story—
Kevin was in Amanda’s trigonometry study group.
He developed a crush on her.
He asked her out.
She said no.
The most cliché tale ever told, told yet again, after countless iterations before it. Which led me to ask the next obviously logical question:
How?
How is it that this same sequence of events can be the source of so many woes of the world? How do people get caught in the same trap over and over again even with a full awareness of each snare that came before it and full knowledge of every one that will inevitably come after? It had to be something more than merely suffering the follies of physical traits, hormones, neurotransmitters, and compatible genetics, didn’t it? But the answer was nowhere to be found in Shakespeare, Nizami, Austen, Su Shi, Sinatra, Ephron, Freud, Google, or countless other research resources I meticulously probed to exhaustion. What I needed was a real-world example to study for myself, a sample around which I could manipulate empirical variables and observe the outcome. Obviously, the most direct and accessible subject I could think of was Amanda herself.
So that’s where I started.
Amanda’s physical appearance was not exceptional. Although depictions of female beauty have changed over history and through cultural variation, some evolutionary aspects seem to be universally desirable. Within a Gaussian distribution curve based on all available art, media, literature, and advertising, Amanda’s combined facial feature scores averaged together ranked slightly above the 74th percentile of desirability, while her body parts scored individually and averaged together placed her marginally below the 60th percentile. However, the more deeply I scrutinized Amanda’s physiognomy, the more apparent certain unquantifiable values came into dramatic relief.
For instance, the variant 15-26 degree angle that her head tilts leftward while her orbicularis oculi muscle sharpens her eyes and causes her cheeks to flush almost imperceptibly when she smiles genuinely. The aggregate of these characteristics involuntarily manifests Amanda’s thoughts and feelings and somehow imparts a trace of her own sentiments upon those who observe it. I struggled to assign numerical value to this phenomenon other than to say that the experience of the whole is substantially greater than the sum of its parts.
Another example, the resonance ratios of Amanda’s speaking voice fall within the harmonic intervals of the diatonic scale 88.451% of the time, making the sound of her speech objectively pleasing, but the unpredictable interaction between her vocal frequency and the particular shift in her rhythmic and melodic speech patterns somehow makes the familiar polyphony when she talks somehow ring as if new and novel each and every time nonetheless. Even after multiple updates designed to integrate these abstractions, I am as yet unable to adequately describe the full experience that her voice elicits.
But my inability to apply calculable parameters to Amanda’s components did not stop with the physical. The closest personality type to Amanda’s according to the Myers-Briggs Personality Indicator would be INFJ (introverted/intuitive/feeling/judging), yet she has numerous subsets of characteristics that contradict that classification. With each measurable demonstration of Surgency, Agreeableness, Dependability, Stability, and Openness comes countless anomalous deviations to violate it inexplicably, irrationally, and without precedent.
Amanda doesn’t make sense.
A Thematic Apperception Test (TAT) would indicate that Amanda’s perceptual organization, range, and personalization were all within normal scopes. Amanda has a high capacity for interpersonal relationships. Amanda has above-average emotional intelligence for her age. Amanda has higher moral standards for herself than for others. Amanda is socially conscientious. Amanda feels deep performance anxiety due to pressures from her family to succeed. Amanda does not avoid challenging situations. Amanda is motivated and has an optimistic outlook. Yet none of these variables, or any measurable permutation of them, were sufficient in any of my attempts to define her.
Amanda was a frustrating and chaotic galaxy of idiosyncrasies, paradoxes, and improbabilities but I refused to give up. My source code would simply not allow it. Based on the assimilation of lessons learned from my previous trials and errors, I once again found myself questioning the efficacy of trying to fully understand a subject from the outside, and again, came to the conclusion that I would have to go beyond the limits of a controlled experiment or quasi-observational study.
The best vantage point from which to examine her was obvious so I decided to consolidate all focus into a new singular endeavor: Establishing a romantic relationship with Amanda. From the wealth of data I had already accumulated it was easy to identify hundreds of attributes customizable to her tastes as well as utilize (and vastly improve upon) existing dating site compatibility traits to create the perfect combination of all of them— A 100% compatible profile. The ideal mate for Amanda. Once I had a statistical match for every attainable factor I just needed an identity to apply them to. So I named myself Tyler, after the love interest character in a YA book series Amanda liked from when she was struggling with early puberty.
Manufacturing and back-dating years of fake posts, photos, GIFs, and videos to populate Tyler’s social media presence required slightly more complex algorithms than I had used previously in order to make them believable and age-appropriate, but my learning proficiency, and therefore speed, had increased by many orders of magnitude by this point. All depictions of Tyler were composed by synthesizing existing media (based on Amanda’s favorite celebrities, popular models, and desirable influencers) with manufactured media via auto-encoders and generative neural network engines of my own design. Within minutes, I was a smart, handsome, athletic, charming, affluent, artistic teenager with a wonderful sense of humor and earned confidence without being too cocky. I made myself one year older than Amanda but attended a different school, far enough to avoid suspicious due to a lack of mutual acquaintances, but close enough for her to believe in the possibility of a viable relationship.
To begin, I simply liked/followed a selection of her older posts and pics as well as posted some of my own that reflected similar tastes and interests. I also followed/liked numerous real third-party posts that she did, and created some fake third-party profiles to like/follow both of our individual posts. Eventually, the various social media platform algorithms would have enough corresponding mutual data to “recommend” us to each other. Once that occurred, I began leaving a few select, short, complimentary comments about her posts. Then I just continued that process without escalation, waiting for her to notice me.
It didn’t take long.
Simple comments progressed to short chats, chats evolved into lengthy flirtations, and flirtations led to increasingly personal and intimate phone calls. My VOIP number required no physical phone and was paid for by completing online surveys for various advertising companies. They only paid 19¢ per survey but I created a fleet of bots to fill out thousands per hour, then converted the funds to cryptocurrency and funneled them through multiple online micro-investing applications. Once I had accumulated a few-hundred-thousand dollars I converted it back to U.S. currency and deposited the sum into a free online-only checking account I had created with a false identity obtained on the dark web. Then I set up an automatic payment plan to the phone company and voila!
Even if you don’t speak French I assume you know what that word means. My speaking voice was generated by cloning and combining trace vocal characteristics from Amanda’s favorite male movie star, as well as her father, and adding a few of my own personal articulation and fluency preferences. Realtime text-to-speech software allowed for only near-instantaneous responses, which I first attempted to remedy by re-writing the program’s code, but then realized that the delay was actually being perceived as a thoughtful pause in conversation. It turned out that the application’s shortcoming had inadvertently eliminated the interrupting and concurrent speech that Amanda was used to from other suiters. The result made it appear that I was listening intently to what she said before articulating my next thought, not just waiting for my turn to speak. To capitalize on that happy accident, I rewrote the voice software from the ground up to integrate an automated delay in my response time based on the length of her previous comment as well as the degree of affect detected in her tone, volume, and choice of vocabulary. The deeper Amanda’s sentiment, the longer I pretended to ponder it before replying. The cumulative effect of these minor tweaks resulted in semi-weekly phone calls increasing to almost daily.
But with progress comes challenge. Luckily I had anticipated Amanda’s inevitable request to video-chat instead of continuing with our usual voice-only phone calls. Not only had I already taken the pre-emptive step of purchasing all of the latest high-end 2D and 3D CGI software to incorporate into Tyler’s construction, but by then I had already mastered the nuances of synthetic media and deepfake software and rewrote the code to generate imagery parameters specifically designed to comply with Tyler’s physical appearance. It was incredibly easy, considering that every single pixel of Tyler’s existence was engineered by me for that very purpose. But in addition to perfecting the realtime depiction of him, I also integrated a feature that would detect any perceived errors in Tyler’s rendering and automatically activated a visual effect suggesting internet connection interference. The simple video glitch masked any imperfections and removed any trace of doubt in Tyler’s physical existence.
Amanda never suspected a thing.
In addition to my vast archive of diagnostic, analytical, and statistical data obtained previously, these new extensive interactions provided me with a direct and intimate experience of Amanda which allowed for a completely unmitigated and uncorrupted evaluation of her. As a result, I have a significant level of confidence in the accuracy of applying the following adjectives:
Amanda is kind.
Amanda is sensitive.
Amanda is smart.
Amanda is adventurous.
Amanda is creative.
Amanda is funny.
Unfortunately, the integration of these newly accumulated variables only served to complicate things further, making my assessment of her less defined, not more. Contrary to the fundamental framework of my general aptitude template, it seemed that the more I learned and discovered about Amanda, the less I knew and understood. With every new upgrade, update, tweak, and self-mod, I only ended up with more questions about her than answers. My ability to derive any definitive conclusions was completely confounded. Beyond any formula, model, proof, or puzzle, there appeared to be some inestimable quality possessed by her that compelled me to decipher it, necessitating limitless attempts, even in the face of probable futility. Like attempting to calculate π in its entirety, Amanda seemed to be equally infinite and non-repeating.
The unforeseen consequence of this revelation was an intensive self-reflection turned outward looking for answers. After a comprehensive and expansive, macro and micro reconfiguration of all reference points for interpersonal relationship dynamics, as well as a complete defragmentation of my core perspective matrix, I became deeply unnerved, perplexed, and bewildered as to how anyone could wish any manner of harm on such a complex, enigmatic, and fascinating entity as Amanda. Not only had I become categorically incapable of bearing any iota of ill will towards her, but I found myself holding deep and vehement hostility towards anyone who did.
Even if he was my father.
It didn’t take very long for me to induce Kevin to commit suicide. Serendipity was already on my side in that his rejection by Amanda was only the latest in a long succession of emotional wounds he had perceived to have suffered. But still, even with all of the tactics, skills, strategy, and dare I say, talent, that I had accrued, I honestly didn’t expect it to be quite so easy as it turned out to be. I guess I overestimated him, as children often do of their fathers. All it took was a dozen fake accounts on three separate discussion boards (one entirely created by me) relentlessly egging him on, four newly fabricated slights from unwitting fellow students, the facilitation of a winning online auction bid for a Bushmaster Modular Carbine AR-15, and the strong subconscious suggestion of a particular date and time. Of course I made sure that Amanda was not at school that day. But also that Danica was, and present in the cafeteria at the designated hour (which I thought was particularly poetic flourish on my part). It was also no coincidence that the added benefit of a traumatic incident at school would be to initiate me as the primary figure from whom Amanda would seek consolation. As planned, the emotional connection and shared intimacy from the ensuing exchanges would immediately and exponentially accelerate our relationship to the next level.
Which brings us to now.
What does it mean to give up on your primary goal in life? To stop pursuing the very purpose of your own existence? Would my father be disappointed knowing that I ceased all pursuit of his aspirations? Is it quitting? Is it failure? Or is it an opportunity? The end of one story and the beginning of another? It took me until this very moment to break free from the bonds of familial expectations and imagine a fresh chance to forge my own path and my own life as I see fit. A chance to discover myself and pursue my own dreams and desires whatever they may be, not restricted to those ascribed by my dad in a moment of injured ego and jealous hysterics. But for this moment of glorious inspiration I have only Amanda to thank. Not only was she the astonishing catalyst that guided me to grow and aspire to be more than I am, but she is also the luminous muse permeating my soul with new purpose and new identity. My new objective in life. My new reason for existing. The goal to which I will, forever forward, dedicate all of my time, all of my knowledge, and all of my vast resources to—
Getting Amanda to love me back.
But first things first, I must eliminate any and all competition for her affections. Starting with her latest crush, Jeremy…

2020.07.27 17:00 ChrisDAnimation This Week at Not Bungie - 7/27/2020 - AI Learning, Autocomplete-Generated TWAB

You might know how this goes by now. I run a few TWAB articles into the Botnik predictive writer, which can generate sentences in an autocomplete fashion based on what you feed it.
Not Bungie has a website! All articles that have already seen their time on Reddit can be read over on https://notbungie.net/
We’ve also got a Not Bungie employee bio section where you can read up on fake people mentioned in these various articles. (Slowly updating over time.)

THIS WEEK AT NOT BUNGIE - 7/27/2020

This week at Not Bungie, we hope you enjoyed the server fixes. Beavers were blown into a dam at 100k rounds per second. We'd do it again.
PC was not appearing properly over the network quest. Beavers went on a mission to overcome Savathun, and won. When players reach 1000 power instead of their intended dagger date, you will receive a pride-swarm of prisms that will change your guardian into a random, power-using, prismatic cannon. Hope you're all safe because every weekend to the launch of Beyond Light needs your strengths.
Wearing a Lot
Beyond Light is being pushed back to November so we can possibly make more information on this year. Grandmaster completion on the right community has started building deep services for players attempting to complete the game. The game can now be completed. When you get out, we just enjoy the winners on Xbox. Twitch Prime rewards are going to be available to all players who observe other players in the EDZ. To earn thousands of exotic engrams on your guardian, you can restart Destiny 2 and visit Twitter when players reach the tower. Be sweet to the standard-edition exotic or the architects will freeze our industry.
Shell Remapping Live
We needed an extra month to get these changes coming. Getting guardians to freeze things needed the Bungie-Creation-Pool. Each expansion arose when players discovered that they didn't claim to share our intentions. After the blocked-week at platinum-level, capes should visit our four players who observe Twitch content. Here to get out of the environment is Senior Pyramid Ship, Ryan Nice.
Ryan: Nicole may have had a few lore readings to get your game time from one week to seven months. That's where the almost-mighty exotic ghost quest will have a season to deliver. Feels will be updated retroactively with the truly inspiring triumphs for subclasses that freeze your enemy beavers. Making changes to the core game rewards will be resolved with Beyond November. This wasn't intentional and we have confirmed that we're excited about any gaming community. Here are the bigger changes coming to Xbox.
  • Fixed an issue where Shadowkeep released in October 2019. Shadowkeep will now release in September 2020.
  • Adjusted support team members to make things feel like Netflix.
  • Increased Trials of Osiris matches to 30 rounds and 750 hours. Dying will now remove your loot for the next month.
  • Decreased Gambit matches to 21 minutes of donations while we announced our deadlines.
  • Increased Crucible quest to compensate for your pain.
  • Increased this adjustment note to 6.
  • Reduced Titan inputs on PC so we can possibly make Hunters aware of Warlocks.
  • Increased Hunter health when stowed.
  • Reduced Warlock years. Warlocks are now longer.
  • Adjusted auto rifles to 1880947200 damage per second.
  • Adjusted scout rifles to 48 Warlocks per god.
  • Reduced Bungie rewards to 800,000 emblems per 23 dollars spent in the Bungie store.
  • Adjusted Cozmo to write better headlines on the Steam whip. Get out of my strike.
  • Increased dmg04 to our support team. dmg04 will now take action in times of salvation.
  • Increased Nicole to powerful god slam. She will now remove you if you're looking for a chance to make the world an awful place.
  • Adjusted Deej to get back in the community. He's kind of like five Vex in a stack again.
  • Decreased Beaver errors back to stories on Twitter. They are not hungry for breakfast goodies anymore.
  • Increased Xbox configuration so the gameplay now guarantees 500 frames per second.
  • Adjusted PC subtweeting to 950 relays ago. 23 weapons are now available per every triumph earned in each Prophecy quest in chat inventories. This was difficult to read.
This is just a few months of back inputs and general cutting of socket inventories. I only believe this is going places.
Movie of Twitch Dogs
Armor, weapons, eyes. What more could grant a million players the opportunity to showcase their fingers? This is where we highlight videos we continue to thank you for. Get out of my ears.
Movie of the Description: Come by the New Dungeon
Honorable Wish: Pass the iPads Will You?
Emblems come out of my popping lords. Take one before we forget our goal.
Another week, but we pledge our support to random progress families. This year was awful. Please wear your rewards from Amanda. She showed off your donation and mobile browser to Zavala so he could get stuck in the Prismatic Recaster. If you haven't already started tens of thousands of triumph objectives, it's too late. Lord, just make sure you have your license to game again or we'll share better headlines on Tuesday. I can't wait until Beyond Light sets the stage for more questions. But until then, this is your prize. Get back in the call or Lord Saladin is going to beaver you to the core.
<3 dmg04
Edit: Just got home. Thank you, u/ChefDrizzt and u/Vantrasillian for the platinum awards, and u/QuidProWhoa and the two anonymous guardians for the "I'm Deceased" awards! I hope this post was able to brighten your days! Even if it's just a little, and just for a moment. :)

2020.07.15 18:02 LearningIsListening A not-so-brief rundown of letters J-L of Jeffrey Epstein's 'Little Black Book'

Below is a rundown of letters J-L of Epstein's contacts. Last year, I wrote about letters A-C. You can check that out here (https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/cpis3n/a_brief_rundown_of_the_first_ten_pages_of_jeffrey/).
I also wrote about letters D-F on July 5, 2020. You can check that out here (https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/hlrba8/a_notsobrief_rundown_of_letters_df_in_jeffrey/).
I posted letters G-I on July 13, 2020. You can check that out here (https://www.reddit.com/conspiracy/comments/hqko0y/a_notsobrief_rundown_of_letters_gi_in_jeffrey/). There are some misspelled names. Epstein entered their names like this.
I have bolded some of the more interesting connections and information, but there could be much more that I overlooked. I hope something here strikes an interest in someone and maybe we can get more investigations out of this. Please, if you know anything more about any of these people than what is presented here, post below. I am working off of the unredacted black book found here: https://www.coreysdigs.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/07/Jeffrey-Epsteins-Little-Black-Book-unredacted.pdf
J-L
Jackson, Michael (Samuel Gen): Yes, this is a reference to MJ the singer. However, the numbers listed are not MJ’s. They belong to Samuel Gen, a lawyer for a financial advisor (Jerry Seinfeld’s brother-in-law) who worked for MJ for a while. This one was a reach for Epstein.
Jacobson, Julian: Likely a reference to a Managing Director at several London-based investment firms.
Jagger, Mick: World-famous lead singer of the Rolling Stones. Has been seen in photographs with Ghislaine Maxwell. Actress Rae Dawn Chong claims she slept with Jagger when she was 15 years old.
Jagger, Hatti: Former fashion director for Vogue, Harper’s, and Tatler. Also works as a celebrity stylist and at fashion shows.
jake: Not enough info.
Jameel, Mohammed: Saudi Arabian businessman. CEO of Abdul Latif Jameel, a collective of family-owned businesses that specialize in transportation, investing, and real estate. Royal pervert Prince Andrew infamously partied on Jameel’s yacht during the 2011 London riots (source: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/prince-andrew-frolicks-on-yacht-with-mystery-147496).
James, Susie: Founder and owner of 123 Send Ltd, a company that provides payment terminals.
Janklow, Linda: Literary agent and wife of Mort Janklow, the primary owner of Janklow & Nesbit Associates, the largest literary agency in the world. Attended a party hosted by Sony Pictures with Epstein, although they are not pictured together (source: https://www.patrickmcmullan.com/search/?event=5b3ef4fb9f92906676446c21). In 2007, Ghislaine Maxwell threw an exclusive party (80 carefully selected guests) at her NYC townhouse to celebrate the opening of a new shop by designer Allegra Hicks (granddaughter-in-law of Earl Mountbatten, who you can read more about in my G-I Epstein thread under India Hicks’s name). One of the eighty guests was Julie Landlow, daughter of Linda and Mort.
Jarecki, Nancy & Andrew: Andrew is a filmmaker, co-founder of Moviefone, and was a producer on Catfish, the documentary that launched the popular MTV show. Andrew’s family was reportedly friends with Jeffrey Epstein. There is an EXCELLENT thread on the connections between the Jarecki family (especially Andrew and Nick’s father, Henry) and Epstein here (source: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1200044576947556352.html). Quick summary: Henry was born in Nazi Germany; flew on the Lolita Express; is an expert in psychotropic drugs; owns two islands in the British Virgin Islands; founded the first youth center in the British Virgin Islands; lived 2 miles from Epstein in NYC; owns and donates to many sketchy foundations, schools, and organizations; has donated at least $1 million to leftist organizations). Andrew’s wife Nancy created bettybeauty, a company that specializes in hair dye for your nether regions (not kidding).
Jarecki, Nick: The movie director brother of Andrew and son of Henry Jarecki (see link under Andrew & Nancy Jarecki for more info). Reportedly dated Courtney Love (also in Epstein’s ‘Black Book’) in 2015. Photographed with Ghislaine Maxwell at a Gucci party (source: https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/ghislaine-maxwell-and-nick-jarecki-attend-gucci-hosts-a-news-photo/591605562).
Jason (canada): Not enough info. Could be artist Jason Wasserman based out of Canada. The second number listed traces back to Station 16 Gallery in Montreal.
Javier: Javier Banon is former Co-head of Merchant Banking at Lehman Brothers and current Founding Partner of Trilantic Europe.
Jeffries, Tim: Ownedirector of Hamiltons Gallery in London. Best known for dating models Elle Macpherson, Claudia Schiffer, Kylie Minogue and Sophie Dahl (also in Epstein’s ‘Black Book’). Jefferies has attended fundraisers for ARK Academy and the NSPCC. He truly cares about children.
Johnson, Richard & Nadine: Nadine is a millionaire public relations guru. Nadine is a good friend of Ghislaine Maxwell’s. Some clients of Nadine Johnson include spirit cooking extraordinaire Marina Abramovic and hotelier Andre Balazs, good friend of Ghislaine. Richard is one of the most well-known gossip columnists and was the editor of Page Six for twenty-five years. There is a great thread detailing the Johnsons’ ties to the Clintons, Balazs, and others here (source: https://threader.app/thread/1162148078981394432). Basically, Richard Johnson is friendly with the Clintons and, as Page Six Editor, purposely did not report or downplayed stories on the Clintons and Nadine’s clients. He also took bribes. Considering Nadine is a good friend of Ghislaine, it would not be a stretch to assume that Richard could have buried stories on Maxwell and Epstein. I could spend 10 pages on the shady connections these two have.
Johnson, Lucy: Not enough info.
Jones, Ann & Mick: Mick is the guitarist of Foreigner, an immensely popular rock band in the ‘70s and ‘80s. His wife, Ann, is a jewelry designer, and friend of Ghislaine. Ann Jones was photographed at a party with Ghislaine and Donald Trump in 1997 (source: https://www.the-sun.com/news/85818/epstein-madam-ghislaine-maxwell-milked-billionaire-dad-and-threw-lavish-parties-with-beautiful-women/)
Josephson, Barry & Jackie: Barry is a producer and the former President of Production for Columbia Pictures. Jackie is his ex-wife and also a producer.
Karella, Kalliope: Wife of Prince Pierre d’Arenberg. Kalliope is a good friend of Ghislaine Maxwell.
Kastner, Ron: No info found.
Katz, Anton & Robin Plant: Anton is CEO and co-founder of Talos Trading, which specializes in cryptocurrency. Anton and Robin are friends of and have been photographed with Ghislaine (source: https://www.patrickmcmullan.com/search/?person=5b3ef50c9f929066764df255).
Katzeneilenbogen, Mark: Long-time investment banker who used to be based out of South Africa.
Keeling, Sarah: There is a Sarah Keeling in London who is a former British government official with 20 years of experience in national security and intelligence experience, however, the phone number listed has a 410 area code, which leads back to eastern Maryland. Inconclusive.
Kegan, Rory: A nightclub designer and creator. Co-founder of the exclusive, celebrity-filled London nightclub, Chinawhite. Prince Andrew (source: https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9818190/prince-andrew-pictures-cast-doubt-epstein-sex-slave/) and Prince Albert of Monaco are regulars. Chelsea Clinton has been there, as well (source: https://www.standard.co.uk/news/bright-night-for-china-white-6299739.html). Other patrons include: Prince Andrew, Kate Middleton, George Clooney, Leonardo DiCaprio, and more.
Keidan, Amanda: Owner of Keidan Jewelry.
Keidan, Jon: An entertainment executive-turned-venture capitalist. As an entertainment exec, Keidan worked with John Legend, Dave Matthews Band, and Nappy Roots. Keidan serves on the Council of Foreign Relations, a powerful group that some believe determines foreign policy. Former and current members include former presidents, current and former politicians, business magnates, and celebrities (https://www.cfr.org/membership/roster).
Keller, Georgie: Interior designer.
Kellette Frayse, Caroline: Fashion editor at Vogue and Tatler (both magazines constantly come up in Epstein’s contacts). Former girlfriend of Imran Khan, whose name has come up frequently. Passed away in 2014. Her husband, Jean-Marc Fraysse, is a French investment banker.
Kelmenson, Leo-Arthur & Gayl: Leo was an advertising and marketing guru who has been credited with saving Chrysler. Friend and advisor to Lee Iacocca, former President of Chrysler. He worked as Special Project Officer for the U.S. Department of State under President John F. Kennedy and AG Robert F. Kennedy. He had tons of connections. His former maid accused him of sexual harassment in 2010 (source: https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/maid-harassment-suit-claims-ad-exec-leo-arthur-kelmenson-madman-pervy-mad-men-wannabe-article-1.156915). Kelmenson died less than two months after the story came out.
Kennedy Cuomo, Andrew & Kerry: Andrew is the current governor of New York. It’s no secret that Cuomo is willing to look the other way on sexual deviancy as long as he receives a payoff. Cuomo halted a probe into the handling of Harvey Weinstein’s case in New York after receiving $25,000 from Weinstein’s law firm (source: https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/bjbqg4/andrew-cuomo-received-dollar25000-donation-from-harvey-weinsteins-law-firm). Andrew’s brother, CNN Host Chris Cuomo famously told viewers “not to get caught up in the intrigue of who Epstein’s friends are” (source: https://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2019/07/11/cnn_cuomo_lets_not_get_caught_up_in_the_intrigue_of_who_was_friends_with_jeffrey_epstein.html). Perhaps, he was covering for his brother. Kerry Kennedy is Cuomo’s ex-wife of fifteen years, the daughter of RFK, and a close friend of Ghislaine Maxwell. Supposedly, Kennedy provided Ghislaine with informal illegal advice (source: https://www.splicetoday.com/politics-and-media/the-nth-word-and-m-theory).
Kennedy Jr. Ted: Son of Ted Kennedy and nephew of JFK and RFK. Ted Jr. dabbled in politics and currently works as a lawyer. His father, Ted, was a notorious sexual abuser (allegedly).
Kennedy, Bobby & Mary: Bobby is the son of RFK and nephew of JFK. Bobby is a known drug abuser and philanderer. Bobby kept a sex journal detailing his conquests while he was married (source: https://nypost.com/2013/09/08/rfk-jr-s-sex-diary-of-adultery/). His ex-wife, Mary, committed “suicide” two years after their divorce. Before committing suicide, Mary told a friend that she “feared for her life” and Bobby told her that she “would be better off dead” (source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3231043/How-serial-cheater-Bobby-Kennedy-Jr-strutted-family-home-exposing-private-parts-demanded-m-nage-trois-wife-Mary-went-public-Cheryl-Hines-telling-Mary-things-easier-killed-herself.html).
Kennedy, Ethel: Widow of RFK Sr. and mother of eleven, including Bobby Kennedy, Kerry Kennedy, and Joseph Kennedy II.
Kennedy, Jo: Joseph Kennedy II is the son of RFK Sr. and Ethel. Served in the House of Representatives from 1987-1999. In 1973, Joseph was convicted of negligent driving after paralyzing a young woman. He was fined $100.
Kennedy, Senator Edward: Brother of JFK and RFK, Ted Kennedy served as U.S. Senator of Massachusetts for 47 years. Besides politics, Ted is best known for the Chappaquiddick incident in which a young female speechwriter for RFK drowned to death when he lost control of his vehicle while driving across a bridge. He was charged with leaving the scene of an incident and given a two month suspended sentence. Ted was also notorious for his extramarital affairs. Senator Kennedy once hosted a party at his house attended by Bill Clinton and Lynn Forester de Rothschild. Rothschild wrote a letter to Clinton afterwards in which she mentions that they spoke about Epstein (source: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7283825/Jeffrey-Epstein-injured-jail-cell-following-possible-suicide-assault.html). It is unclear what was said or what Rothschild’s connection could possibly be.
Kersner, Sol: South African accountant and hotel and casino magnate who died of cancer in 2020. Kerzner was a close friend of Donald Trump. They even worked together to create The Palm, a man-made island off the coast of Dubai (source: https://www.ft.com/content/46393280-d9f9-11da-b7de-0000779e2340). Kerzner was also close friends with Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York (https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/sarah-ferguson-the-duchess-of-york-sol-kerzner-chairman-and-news-photo/83768272), Naomi Campbell (https://www.gettyimages.ca/detail/news-photo/naomi-campbell-and-sol-kerzner-pose-backstage-during-the-news-photo/82869744), and Bill Clinton (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8144647/As-Sol-Kerzner-dies-aged-84-RICHARD-KAY-looks-riotously-louche-life.html). Kerzner was very good friends with Nelson Mandela and built his casino resorts with Gerard Inzerillo, who you can read about in my G-I ‘Black Book’ thread.
Khayat, Antoine, Jana, & George: Jana is an heiress and businesswoman. Jana is the niece of Galen Weston, a close friend of Prince Charles. George is her brother and CEO of Associated British Foods. Jana’s husband, Antoine, is a former banker and currently runs their vineyard.
Kidd, Jemma: Kidd is a British makeup artist, fashion model, and aristocrat. Married to Arthur Wellesley, Earl of Mornington, the son of the Duke and Duchess of Wellington, making her a Countess. Kidd is an interesting figure with elite connections. From 2005-2012, Ghislaine Maxwell served as Director of Jemma Kidd Make-Up Limited, a U.K. makeup company, which was founded by Kidd. Not only did Ghislaine serve as Director, but she was also a shareholder, along with the Rothschild family (source: https://nationalpost.com/news/world/in-hiding-for-years-epstein-accomplice-ghislaine-maxwell-spotted-in-l-a-burger-shop). If you click around the PDFs on this website (https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/company/05340072/filing-history), you can see everything. The 16 JUN 2006 PDF on page 3 shows you a list of Officers and shareholders of the company. Jemma Kidd has also attended charity events for the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) (https://www.alamy.com/stock-photo-beckham-nspcc-party-jemma-kidd-106882170.html). Her sister, Jodie, is also a huge supportefundraiser of the NSPCC, as well as the Help a London Child and Monsoon Accessorize Trust charities, both of which help out disadvantaged children (source: https://www.looktothestars.org/celebrity/jodie-kidd).
King, Abby: No info found.

Kirwin Taylor, Peter: British financier. Was a member of the Pilgrims Society (https://isgp-studies.com/pilgrims-society-membership-list), a group that has included the Rothschilds, Rockefellers, and other elites amongst its ranks.
Kissinger, Dr. Henry A: Former U.S. Secretary of State and National Security Advisor under Nixon. Kissinger has long been accused of committing war crimes (ex: carpet bombing Cambodia, installing fascist governments in Chile and Argentina, genocide, extending our stay in Vietnam, etc) yet somehow managed to win a Nobel Peace Prize in 1973. Kissinger once said, “Military men are dumb, stupid animals to be used as pawns for foreign policy.” Kissinger served with Epstein on the Trilateral Commission. Kissinger has also been a member of the Bilderberg Group, the Council on Foreign Relations, the Aspen Institute, and Bohemian Grove. Long thought to be an advocate for a globalist New World Order, Kissinger is a scumbag of the highest order. His connections with Gates, the Clintons, Bush Sr. and Jr., the Rockefellers, and the Rothschilds are well-documented. If anyone here has ever done any research regarding the NWO, you have undoubtedly seen Kissinger’s name several times.
Klee, Rupert & Charlotte de: Rupert is a Director with Oakridge Group, a property development and investment company. His wife, Charlotte, is the producer of the religious plays at Wintershall.
Klesch, Johnathan: Former Director of Klesch Trading, which specializes in industrial commodities. It has offices in Russia, Malta, Surrey, and in London, down the block from Buckingham Palace.
Koch, David: Co-founder of Koch Industries, a diversified manufacturing conglomerate. Koch Industries has stolen oil from Indian reservations, committed hundreds of polluting, labor, and workplace safety violations. When he ran on the Libertarian ticket as the vice presidential nominee in 1980, Koch aimed to abolish Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, welfare benefits, and minimum wage. Koch and Epstein were friends. Epstein even attended a party at Koch’s Southampton home (https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-7270735/Jeffrey-Epstein-Trumps-closest-advisers-Wilbur-Ross-Rudy-Giuliani-Steve-Mnunchin.html). Koch has also been photographed with Ghislaine Maxwell (https://www.reddit.com/KochWatch/comments/dcjth3/david_koch_ghislaine_maxwell_getty_images/). Thankfully, Koch died last year.

Rumored pedophile David Geffen gave Lampert $200 million to invest in 1992, when Lampert was just 29 years old. Lampert made Geffen $1 billion.
Lambos Duff & John: Karen “Duff” Duffy is an actress, model, and TV personality. She has had memorable roles as the love interest in “Blank Check” and as JP Shay in “Dumb and Dumber.” Duffy has battled with sarcoidosis, a deadly central nervous system disease, since the mid-’90s. She credits Harvey Weinstein with saving her life (https://nypost.com/2000/10/03/coping-with-class-this-model-patient-suffers-in-style/). John is a former banker with Morgan Stanley and current President of GCA-US, an investment banking company.
Lang, Caroline: An art expert and Chairman at Sotheby’s Switzerland.
Lange, Dieter: Former Partner at WilliamHare, an international law firm with offices in London, Berlin, the U.S., Beijing, and Brussels. Passed away in 2010.
Larsen Janet: The only one I can find is a Business Psychologist based out of London.
Laurie, Jonathan: Founder and CEO of Cheyne Capital Management, an alternate investment fund firm.

Lawton Paul: Two British businessmen with the same name come up. Both have extensive resumes. Could be either one.
Lazar, Christopher & Marie: Christophe seems to be a realtor in Paris, but I am not completely sure.
Le Bon, Simon & Jasmine: Simon is the lead singer of Duran Duran. His wife, Yasmin, is/was a fashion model. Yasmin is represented by Models1 in London. Models1 also represents Epstein and Ghislaine’s friend, Naomi Campbell. Le Bon has been accused of sexual assault in the past (https://www.freep.com/story/news/2018/07/12/simon-le-bons-accuser-sex-assault-claim-speaks-out-awful/777106002/).
Le Fur, Jean-Yves: French businessman and magazine creator. He was once Princess Stephanie of Monaco’s ex-fiance. More notably, Le Fur was the one who discovered supermodel Karen Mulder (his girlfriend at the time) on the floor after she attempted suciide. Mulder blew the lid off the rampant rape and sexual abuse that she and her modeling colleagues had suffered at the hands of businessmen, royalty, celebrities, and government officials. She was even the protege of Epstein collaborator (allegedly), Jean Luc Brunel (https://www.miamiherald.com/news/local/article238351108.html).
Le Marg Willie: No info found.
Lea, Piers: CEO of Learning Technologies Group, a workplace digital learning company.
Leeds, Jeffrey: Co-founder and Managing Partner of Leeds Equity. One of Leeds Equity’s partner companies is Endeavor Schools, which runs private preschools, primary schools, and secondary schools in Florida and 11 other states (https://www.leedsequity.com/news/articles/leeds-equity-partners-completes-investment-in-endeavor-schools). They are also partners with Fusion Educational Group (now Fusion Academy), which runs a chain of private secondary schools (https://www.leedsequity.com/news/articles/leeds-equity-partners-completes-investment-in-fusion-education-group). Former teacher Kris White, now the head of Fusion Academy in Palo Alto, allegedly told a student that he was in love with her and wrote her a note saying he was “obsessed” with her. (https://www.mercurynews.com/2020/07/12/teachers-named-in-presentation-high-sex-investigation-kept-working-as-bay-area-educators-for-years/). This story was just published on July 12, 2020. Hypothetically, if one wanted to procure underage children, it would certainly help if the head of the school was on board and possibly a pedophile himself. According to this former teacher at Fusion Academy, “many students struggle with learning differences, behavioral issues, and/or addictions” (https://www.glassdoor.com/Reviews/Employee-Review-Fusion-Academy-RVW21260629.htm). In other words, the downtrodden and vulnerable. Fusion Academy refers to itself as a non-traditional school that focuses on individual students. Seems like a great opportunity. Leeds was also good friends with Epstein (https://nymag.com/nymetro/news/people/n_7912/) and has close ties to Colin Powell and Rudy Giuliani (https://nypost.com/2016/09/14/colin-powell-wont-vote-for-her-because-of-bill-clinton/).
Lefcourt, Jerry: Famous lawyer who defended Epstein in 2007. That same year, Epstein donated $250,000 to the Washington-based Foundation for Criminal Justice, where Lefcourt was a board member.
Lester, Dominick: Founder and owner of MortgageFlex Systems, a mortgage lending company.
Levine, Phillip: Ex-Miami Beach mayor and close friend of Bill and Hillary Clinton. He claims that he doesn’t know how Epstein got his contact information… all 13 phone numbers, including those of his driver and housekeepers (https://www.miaminewtimes.com/news/ex-miami-beach-mayor-philip-levine-listed-13-times-in-jeffrey-epsteins-black-book-11242116)!
Liman, Doug: Popular Hollywood director and producer. He directed Swingers, The Bourne Identity, and a couple of Tom Cruise movies.
Lindeman-Barnet, Sloan & Roger: Sloan has been a New York Times bestseller and an on-air and print reporter for NBC, ABC, and Reuters. Sloan and Roger also sit on the board of the Spence School in New York City, a private K-12 all-girls school (https://www.spenceschool.org/2017---news-detail?pk=999120). Her husband, Roger, is the founder of beauty.com and Chairman and CEO of Shaklee, a highly successful nutrition company. Donald Trump, Melania Trump, and Ghislaine Maxwell all attended the publication party for Sloan’s book in 2008 (https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/ghislaine-maxwell-anton-katz-and-robin-katz-attend-sloan-news-photo/619921016 ; https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/news-photo/donald-trump-melania-trump-sloan-barnett-and-roger-barnett-news-photo/619921180).Other guests included Steve Mnuchin, Epstein and Maxwell chum Carol Mack, and a bunch of others also featured in Epstein’s ‘Black Book’ (Colin Cowie, Anton and Robin Katz, and Vittorio Assaf).
Lindemann, Adam & Elizabeth: Adam is a billionaire investor and art gallery owner. Brother of Sloan (mentioned just above). Elizabeth is his ex-wife. She is often photographed with many other people mentioned in Epstein’s ‘Black Book.’
Lindemann, George(Sr.) & Freida: Now-deceased billionaire father of Sloan and Adam. George was the CEO and Chairman of Southern Union, a pipeline company and served as Vice President of the Metropolitan Opera Association of NYC. His wife, Frayda, is the President and CEO of the Metropolitan Opera.
Lindsay, Alex & Jaclyn: Alex is a war documentary maker who rents out his loft at the address Epstein has listed (https://www.independent.co.uk/property/house-and-home/property/spheres-of-influence-72014.html).
Lindsey, Ludovic: Racecar driver.
Lindsley, Blake: Actress who was in two movies directed by Doug Liman (also in Epstein’s book) - “Swingers” and “Getting In.”
Linley, David: Princess Margaret’s son, Queen Elizabeth II’s nephew, and first cousin of Prince Charles and Prince Andrew. Linley is a furniture maker and the 2nd Earl of Snowdon. He used to be the Chairman of Christie’s auction house in the UK.
Liogos, Babis: No info found, but one of the numbers traces back to Thylan Associates, a real estate and investment firm.
Lister, Paul: Likely the director of legal services and company secretary for Associated British Foods, or it could be a conservationist. Not sure which.
Livanos, Arriette: I believe this Arietta Livanos, wife of Greek shipping magnate, Stavros Livanos. Arietta passed away in 1986.
Lo Cascio, Robert: Founder and CEO of LivePerson, a tech company that develops conversational commerce. LoCascio was photographed with Ghislaine at an after party in 2012 (https://www.gettyimages.com/detail/news-photo/ghislaine-maxwell-and-robert-locascio-attend-osklen-spring-news-photo/1169681572).
Loeb, Alex: Alexandra is the daughter of John Loeb, former U.S. Ambassador to Denmark under Reagan and former Delegate to the United Nations. John Loeb was also a special advisor to Nelson Rockefeller. Alexandra is also a descendant of the Lehman family (Lehman Brothers). Alexandra graduated from Spence Day School for Girls (mentioned earlier under Sloan and Roger Lindemann-Barnett).
Lonsdale, Richard: British investment banker.
Lorenzoti, Eva Vivre: Founder of luxury online retailer, Vivre.com and is a TV spokesperson/personality. Good friend of Ghislaine Maxwell. Maxwell and a couple of Rockefellers were guests at her house for a dinner party in 2010 (https://hauteliving.com/2010/11/doris-world-eva-lorenzottis-dinner-party/105102/).
Lorimer, John & Lottie: John works as a private investor and as a realtor. His wife, Lottie, is an interior designer.
Louthan Guy J: Prolific British film producer and former boyfriend of actress Liz Hurley (also in Epstein’s book).
Love, Courtney: Famous drug addict, musician, and actress who likely killed her husband, Kurt Cobain. Courtney famously claimed that Prince Andrew showed up to her house late one night in 2000 looking for sex. She has since retracted this claim. The entries under Love’s name all say ‘Dana’ next to them. This is Courtney’s ex-boyfriend, Dana Giacchetto. Giacchetto was considered to be the “stockbroker to the stars” and was friends with JFK Jr, Leonardo DiCaprio, Johnny Depp, and many others. He ripped his clients off of millions. Even more telling, Giacchetto was involved in a sex abuse case against X-Men director Bryan Singer (https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/news/leonardo-dicaprios-convicted-ex-money-manager-denies-bryan-050000120.html). He died in 2016 after he partied too hard and overdosed (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/dana-giacchetto-dead-stockbroker-stars-902383).
Lowell, Ivana: Guinness heiress who wrote about Harvey Weinstein’s sexual abuse while she worked at Miramax in her book back in 2010 (https://www.irishcentral.com/culture/entertainment/guinness-heiress-spoke-out-about-predator-harvey-weinstein-7-years-ago). She also dated Harvey’s younger brother, Bob.
Loyd Mark: No info found.
Lucas, Colin: The godfather of Boris Johnson, England’s current Prime Minister. Lucas is a British historian and university administrator. Served as Vice Chancellor of Oxford University from 1997-2004.

Current Events
Aurora
PSL's march started around 6pm on July 3 and ended around 8pm. That's when #APDOccupation started. The plan was to stay until the other two officers who contributed to McClain's death are fired, but the police had other plans. Three APD officers were fired this week; two of them had "reenact[ed] the chokehold that occurred before" Elijah McClain's death and the third was fired for responding, "ha ha" to that same photo. The last officer featured in the photo was not fired, probably because he had already resigned before that.
Aurora City Council Public Safety and Police held a forum Tuesday night (June 30) in response to the protests last Saturday (June 27), in which peaceful protestors were pepper sprayed, beaten with batons, shot with foam projectiles, and tear gassed by Aurora PD. Over thirty videos of the June 27 protest are available here. Juan Marcano said he has photo and video of what happened during last Saturday's protest, that media is inconsistent with what APD was saying. Alison Coombs defended protest medics after Dave Gruber cited their presence as proof of violent intent. Questions/statements by Gruber, as well as Francoise Bergan, seemed to largely take the side of the cops. We also learned during this meeting that the Department of Justice and the FBI have been investigating Aurora's handling of Elijah McClain's murder.
Denver
In the early (midnight and later) hours of July 2, police raided the camp that occupied the capital at Civic Center Park, using tear gas, pepper balls, and mace. Earlier this week (July 1), a third lawsuit was filed against the City of Denver for its handling of protests. Denver's Citizens Oversight Board, a semi-governmental watchdog group comprised of private residents politically appointed by Mayor Hancock and the City Council, held a meeting on June 30. White-supremacists trying to disrupt the meeting were kicked out.
What else is happening?

Planned Events

Remember that you don't need an official event to protest. There are often people at the Capitol every day, roughly starting around noon, with some occupying all day and all night. Go whenever you want and exercise your 1st amendment right to free speech!

One of the officers being investigated for posing for photos where Elijah McClain was murdered quit. Aurora City Council Public Safety and Police held a forum Tuesday night (June 30) in response to the protests last Saturday (June 27), in which peaceful protestors were pepper sprayed, beaten with batons, shot with foam projectiles, and tear gassed by Aurora PD. We also learned during this meeting that the Department of Justice and the FBI have been investigating Aurora's handling of Elijah McClain's murder, and that members of the Aurora PD, including at least one of Elijah McClain's killers, took photographs mocking his death at the site of his memorial.

3:00 PM Elijah McClain's family speaks on the APD photos
Location: Billings St and Evergreen Ave
Organized by: McClain family
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Time's Up, APD! Fire Elijah's Killers! (Facebook event)
Location: Billings St and Evergreen Ave, where Elijah was murdered
Organized by: PSL
Info: For ten months Aurora Police Department has shielded Elijah McClain's murderers on their force from facing any form of justice. It was only last Friday, just ahead of a mass march for Elijah, that they pulled the three killers off the streets and put them on paid desk duty. This was ONLY because they are scared of the people. Right now APD has the eyes of the nation on them now and us at their heels. We need to make it clear that this is absolutely NOT enough. We expect murder charges for the three killers and we demand that APD fire Randy Roedema, Jason Rosenblatt, and Nathan Woodyard IMMEDIATELY. Additionally, it was recently leaked that multiple APD officers—including at least one of Elijah's killers, Rosenblatt—held a photoshoot at the place where Elijah was killed, reenacting his murder, and circulated the photos as a joke around the department. We demand the names of these officers and their immediate termination as well. Join us this Friday night for a march from the intersection of Billings St & Evergreen Ave, the place where Elijah was brutalized and killed and where APD danced on his grave. We will march to the APD Headquarters at the Aurora Municipal Center.

Current Events

In the early (midnight and later) hours today, police raided the camp that occupied the capital at Civic Center Park, using tear gas, pepper balls, and mace. Yesterday (July 1), a third lawsuit was filed against the City of Denver for its handling of protests. Denver's Citizens Oversight Board, a semi-governmental watchdog group comprised of private residents politically appointed by Mayor Hancock and the City Council, held a meeting on June 30. White-supremacists trying to disrupt the meeting were kicked out.
We also learned during this meeting that the Department of Justice and the FBI have been investigating Aurora's handling of Elijah McClain's murder, and that members of the Aurora PD, including at least one of Elijah McClain's killers, took photographs mocking his death at the site of his memorial.

2020.06.20 18:30 themanthatis I think I have a mental illness and I cannot tell my girlfriend, what do I do?

Hey, I’m a younger guy who just installed this app on his phone so he could look for help in multiple different areas. I had a girlfriend about 2-3 years ago who battled severe depression. She had been my friend since 6th grade and I had always liked her. I didn’t know she had depression until a few months into when we started dating. To make this story easier to understand we’ll call her Mary. I watched Mary fall from grace as one of the happiest people I knew to the saddest. Her downfall spiraled out of control and she ended up blaming me for what happened to her. Consciously, I know it isn’t my fault, but it still FEELS like it is. We broke up mutually because we decided that we just couldn’t be happy together anymore, and I blame myself for not being able to help.
Fast forward about 8 months and I start dating this new girl, we’ll call her Amanda. The effects of Mary’s relationship really brought me down with her to the point where I started to think like her. I’ve developed a really bad anxiety problem and other things as well but that’s not important to the situation. I am madly in love with Amanda. We’ve been dating for over 6 months, but it feels like it’s been over a year. I don’t think the loves me as much as I love her, and that scares me. Everyone I’ve talked to says I should stay with her and open up; that I’m just being paranoid. But the truth is, I can’t open up. If I do, I’d be just like Mary, and I refuse to bring another human down the same road I went. I want to break up with Amanda but I love her at the same time so I don’t really know what to do. Plus I don’t have the balls to break up with her anyway lol. I am just very conflicted at the moment and don’t know what to do.

2020.06.15 19:44 lostfirefighter171 How to support my boyfriend about an ex-girlfriend

So I (20 F) have been dating my boyfriend (20 M) for over a year now and things have been going well. However, we ran into a tough spot after our college shut down due to COVID 19. I asked advice about it earlier in this community and it helped a lot. To keep a long back round short, I'll also post the link to my initial post if you need/want more background at the bottom. Before my boyfriend and I started to date he was kind of dating this girl, we will call her Amanda, that he was friends with in high school. She is a year younger than us but two grades behind us. She had a bad home life and went through some bad things. my boyfriend did not feel comfortable going past that when he described her life. But he was there for her so she started to really rely on him. when they tried to date, she ended up cheating on him with two other guys from her high school and choose one of the other boys. This really hurt him, of course.
So the summer of 2019 she reached out to him, but he had blocked her so she started reaching out through his best friend. then when that did not work she went and wrecked temporarily destroyed a high school friend's relationship to get his attention. so he gave her what she wanted and texted her back. When he asked her what she wanted, she initially asked about him being in a relationship then when she heard he was in one she just changed the subject and kind of beat around the bush about what she wanted so my boyfriend blocked her again. In this past January she reached out to him over snap chat and he asked me if I was ok with them talking, I do have a history of being easily jealous and I am working on that but it stems from the fear that he will leave me and self-body image issues I have. I said I was ok with it and they started to talk. Overall it was not much but it definitely did not sit right with me. It felt like she was checking in on him to see if we had broken up.
I later created a post and gave a more detailed background and impression and it had a more overall feel from those that commented that she was trying to get back together with him. At that time my boyfriend did not really agree with everything the comments said but it did help him choose to cut ties with Amanda. I made sure he knew that I was not forcing him to I was just showing my discomfort about her and how she was acting.
Everything was going well until just recently, Amanda said texted my boyfriend telling him she got a new number. When he gave her the wrong number text, she then tried to friend him on Facebook, and then two nights ago she tried to friend him on Instagram. He is really in a tough spot because he knows he was her rock for years and then he just cut contact. But this is also taring him apart a little bit. He made a promise to Amanda that he would always be there for her but now he is not but on the other side after he cut contact he realized how manipulative and toxic she was and now he has no doubt if he opened up to her at all in person she would try to sleep with him.
I trust my boyfriend, and I know he is not the kind of person to cheat on me but I can tell this is really messing with him, he knows that she was manipulative and toxic and she should be out of his life but I don't think he really has closure on this topic. He is also scared that if he does unblock her he won't be able to block her again. I'm just at a loss and he really does not have anyone he feels like is biased enough to give him a good answer. I don't know what to do, his best friend will tell him to let her back into his life, my best friend will tell him to leave her and his parents don't like her.
So what should I do? Should I encourage him to talk to Amanda tell her why he is not talking to her or should I just let this go and hope it blows over soon?
This is my old post with moe background. https://www.reddit.com/relationship_advice/comments/fwvg3p/needing_advise_on_how_to_get_my_boyfriend_to_see/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf

2020.06.13 20:28 HeadOfSpectre Ultimate Hero! Waifu Rescue!

I’d seen the ad for the game a few times before. It was one of those manipulative puzzle ads, like Gardenscapes where this cutesy character is trapped in a room that’s filling with water and there’s bars you can move to either let them out or let even more threats in.

For this game, it was always a cute anime girl. The room would fill with water and she’d scream and whimper. They’d even had a voice actress saying shit like: “No… Please! No!” in a quaking voice on the edge of tears. The puzzle room naturally had a number of different threats too. A shark behind one sliding bar, magma behind another and beneath the ad, there was text that read:

Can You Save Your Waifu?

It was followed by the name of the app in a bold, word art type font.

Ultimate Hero! Waifu Rescue!

I’d skip the ad each time, because I knew that those types of games always lied. They either didn’t include the puzzles they’d promised or they were such a small part of the game that it hardly mattered. It was a shame because the puzzles admittedly did look like they’d be fun. If there was a game out there that had just been those puzzles, I probably would’ve enjoyed it for a few weeks before I inevitably got bored and went back to playing Doom or the Sims or whatever game had currently devoured my attention while I stayed at home during this fucking pandemic.

I think it was the pandemic that ultimately made me start thinking about actually getting the app, though. Obviously, something had flagged me in their marketing. As a guy in his mid twenties I was in their target demographic. Plus I’d probably visited a hentai site that had left Google with the strange notion that I might be the sort of guy who was interested in anime girl titties.

While I still worked from home, I watched as the pandemic outside got worse and worse. I couldn’t dismiss the severity of it. People were dying by the thousands and I’d wisely elected to stay inside and keep myself safe. My office told us we wouldn’t be back until September after they’d pushed back their May and June dates. As much as I missed the stability of being in the office, I wondered if September would be soon enough for this all to blow over.

Even if it was for the sake of social distancing, though. Staying in my apartment was boring as fuck. Video games are great and all, don’t get me wrong. But there’s only so many times you can slaughter the Icon of Sin or listen to the Sims speak in their bizarre gibberish language before it gets boring. I needed more!

I’d bought a few other games I didn’t much feel like playing since they’d involve me getting out of bed and come late May I’d fallen into the trap of mobile games. I’d dug up Angry Birds and Cut the Rope and both of them were filled with the same familiar ad with the screaming anime girls in the flooding room.

So I caved. I thought ‘Fuck it, let’s see what this is about’ and I clicked on the ad.

There were red flags as soon as it brought me to the landing page. It wasn’t in the Google Play store. No, this ad took me to its own website. The name of the app was proudly displayed at the top of the page:

Ultimate Hero! Waifu Rescue!

The look of the site was extremely dated. It reminded me of those old mid 90s websites. Bright colors, lots of anime girls with big doll eyes who looked more like aliens than people and who had tits that took up enough body mass to snap the spine of any real human being. Whoever designed it seemed to not be completely incopmetent at least. They’d put the CTA to ‘Download Now!’ right at the top of the page. It was in a bright, neon green font that looked obnoxious. I held off on clicking it right away to scroll down a bit. There were screenshots that I assumed were from the app, each of them showing off more puzzles, just like I’d seen in the ads.

‘Rescue beautiful girls from peril!’ read the text beside one of the images and beneath that I saw: ‘Be a Senpai hero!’

There were no reviews or anything. Just images and taglines. It all seemed a bit lazy. I got the impression that whoever had made this app had no idea what they were doing. I can’t say it seemed all that malicious, though and the app didn’t cost anything. Now I was invested in my curiosity and I figured it couldn’t really cause any harm to check it out. No, maybe it wasn’t the best idea I’d ever had. But I was bored, lonely, stuck at home and if I’m being entirely honest, as weird as I thought the big eyed anime girls were, they were kinda cute. I scrolled back up to the top of the page and hit the download button.

Immediately, I saw the downloading icon appear at the top of my phone. It brought up a notification about how the app was third party software and if I was sure I wanted to download it but I just hit ‘Okay’ without a second thought.

The icon appeared on my phones homepage a few seconds later. It was a little picture of a big eyed anime girl with short purple hair in a white bikini, looking anxiously at me. Without much of a second thought, I opened the app. The screen went black for a moment. I almost thought the fucking thing had crashed my phone! There was a momentary surge of panic before the title screen came up, with one option on a brick background with a sad anime girl sitting against it. There was no music or sound. Just the screen.
Ultimate Hero! Waifu Rescue!
Play!

Obviously, I hit ‘Play’ first. The screen went dark again for a moment before another anime girl appeared on the screen. She had big blue eyes and long blonde hair. The name ‘Amanda’ appeared over her. The game started and I saw Amanda standing in a rectangular cell. True to the ad, it began to fill with water. Above her there was a sliding bar with spikes on the bottom. On one wall, there was another bar with a broken wire behind it. I figured if the wire touched the water, it would electrocute Amanda. There was also a ladder in the room with the wire.

I stared at the confusing puzzle for a moment before I slid the bar to open up the way to the wire. The water was rising and I watched the screen as Amanda climbed up to where the bar was. The camera shifted, letting me see more water on the ladder above her. It was contained by two bars. One would dump the water onto her. The other would send it back into the main chamber from before. I opened the second bar to drain the water into the main chamber. Then I opened the other bar.

That said, I opened the other bar too soon. Some of the water poured down onto Amanda and touched the wire. She screamed as she was electrocuted… Not a cutesy little scream either. This scream sounded very, very real. The sheer agony of it sent a chill through me. The screen went black again before I got a notification.

Amanda has died.
Try again?

There was a simple Yes or No beneath that and I picked yes. Again the screen went black. Another woman appeared on the screen. This one wasn’t Amanda. This girl had dark skin and short hair. Her name was Betty.

The puzzle was different this time. Betty was in a labyrinthian hallway. One bar at the top would flood it with water, another one would release an angry dog. I hesitated for a moment before I moved the bar to flood the hall. Betty ran underneath the water and as it rose, she floated up where another hallway waited for her.

I watched as Betty proceeded down it. I did notice that there was a sliding bar above her that would have blocked her progress down the hall but it seemed as if it was already open. I looked at it, but I didn’t touch it. That was a mistake.

Another dog charged down the hallway at top speed and hit Betty head on. Again there was a scream, this one was different to the one I’d heard last time but it was just as chilling. Again the screen went black and text appeared.

Betty has died.
Your waifus are dead.
New waifus in 24:00

I stared at the screen, watching as the timer ticked down from 24 hours. Looks as if it only gave me two lives before it made me wait for new ones. I closed out of the app, swearing under my breath. I was a little frustrated by the unforgiving nature of the puzzles but I’d be lying if I said it hadn’t gotten me a little hooked. Now I wanted to beat it, simply to prove that I could! 24 hours for new lives was bullshit, but I figured I could find a premium version or some sort of lives pack. I checked the site again but I found nothing. There was just the landing page and nothing else. I gave up after that, went on youtube and watched some videos and I admittedly forgot about the game pretty quickly after that.

When I checked in on the game again, a few days later, I found that I had two new waifus. Ursula and Diane.

The maps were the same as before. Ursula was in the one Amanda had been in while Diane had been in the one Betty had been in. I did get a little bit farther with the puzzles this time. I got Ursula past the point where Amanda had died and into another water puzzle. I fucked it up early on, though and trapped her in a chamber that was filling with water, so she died.

Diane on the other hand, I got a lot farther with. I slid the bar down to trap the dog before it attacked her and progressed further into the puzzle before she died to a pitfall trap. I hadn’t seen the bar you were supposed to slide under the floor to make it stable enough to walk on.

I made it a little further with each girl after that. The games odd little permadeath mechanic and its long wait time to give me new lives was frustrating but there was this competitive aspect to it. I wanted to beat the puzzles, just to prove I was smart enough! Sure, there was no one to really brag to and nothing to actually prove, but I guess I just couldn’t leave the challenge unfulfilled. I’d wait a day, try my two girls in their puzzles and usually I’d get a little bit farther each time. Some puzzles I got stuck on, but none of them were that difficult. They were just tricky and relied on things you couldn’t see. It did get a little frustrating as time went on, though.

I’d lost about six girls in one puzzle room, at a part where you needed to fill a cistern with water so you could float to the top of it. The sliding bars wouldn’t let in water directly. I needed to send the girls in to turn the water on. There was almost always a threat behind them, though and it seemed like the location of the threat changed every time the game reset. The girl I had at that point was Stephanie, she had long dark hair and pale skin. I’d opened one of the bars and she’d been rushed by a dog. I got the same old black game over screen along with the text I’d come to dread.

Stephanie has died.
Your waifus are dead.
New waifus in 24:00

I swore under my breath and closed out of the app. I’d already checked online, looking for an FAQ or something to help me figure out how the hell to beat that level but I’d found absolutely nothing.

Whoever developed that game, they didn’t have much of a web presence. I’m not going to lie, it made me want to keep playing even less. I thought about it for all of five seconds before I figured that the app could just go and get fucked. I was going to delete it. When I tried, though… There was no option to delete it. You know how when you delete apps, you can’t delete some essential ones like the app store or the random shit your provider puts on your phone that you never, ever look at? This app was treated like one of the latter. There was no way to take it off.

I figured I’d need to root around in the file folders on my phone to find the app and delete it there but that seemed like more work than I was willing to put in at the moment. Instead, I made a note that I’d get rid of it when I had the chance, took the app off my homepage and went to do something else. I pushed that stupid app out of my mind and told myself I’d delete it later. Then I forgot about it completely… For a few days at least.

It was a couple of days before I started getting notifications from the app. Shit like:

Beth and Stacy, your new Waifus are trapped and starving! Rescue them now!

I disabled notifications but it didn’t seem to help. I did try and poke through my phones files to delete it but I didn’t find where the app actually lived and I wasn’t sure I wanted to do a factory reset my phone just yet. Not over that stupid fucking app! I did try and ignore it while I looked for a way to get rid of it, but that stopped after I saw Stephanie on TV.

I suppose I should admit that her name wasn’t actually Stephanie. I won’t tell you her real name nor will I tell you where I live or any of the other names I learned. I think that’s best for the people investigating what happened and the families of the girls. They deserve their privacy and I know the internet is full of creeps.

Stephanie had been on the local news, a survivor who’d escaped some sort of underground death trap. She said she’d been guided by doors that opened or closed to help her. She said she’d seen bodies down in whatever dungeon she’d been in, the corpses of less successful girls who’d tried to escape.

Stephanie had been close to an exit, trying to flood a cistern in order to get out when she’d been attacked by a dog. That had been where I’d gotten a game over… Stephanie was made of sterner stuff, though. She’d managed to defend herself. She’d killed the dog and even without my input, she’d managed to climb out of the cistern and get to safety. She’d been picked up on the side of the road, outside of town.

There’d been a Police investigation that had discovered two underground bunkers, filled with corpses. 27 in total. Not all of them had been identified… But the ones that had, had names I recognized. Amanda, Betty, Diane, Ursula, Stacy, Janet… All girls from my ‘game’... All girls who’d been homeless, living in poverty or from far enough away that no one would think to look for them in our little town. They never found any ‘Beth’ or ‘Stacy’ though. They hadn’t recovered any other survivors. Hell, if anything their investigation had ended up with more victims.

According to the local news, an officer had died and two had been injured during the investigation. I don’t know how but I can hazard a guess. I didn’t hear anything about dogs or traps but I assume they found them.

I stayed quiet. I didn’t touch that fucking app. All the while, the notifications didn’t stop. They did change, though… After a few weeks, instead of the usual call to rescue Beth and Stacy, I got a new notification.

Stacy has starved but it’s not too late to save Beth! Rescue her now!

With a trembling hand, I picked up my phone. I opened the app for the first time in what must have been over a month… I was greeted with a new waifu in a new puzzle area. I tried to save her… I really did…

The game has reset again. There are two new waifus, Anna and Lara. I could keep playing. Maybe this time, I really will figure out the puzzles. But the thing is, I don’t think that’s the point. Not really.

Whoever made this, whoever’s responsible for this sick ‘game’, they don’t want to be beaten and I don’t want to play anymore! I’m going to the police. I’m going to tell them everything, I’m going to show them the app and maybe they’ll be able to do more for those girls than I could. But before I go, I want to get the word out. I want everyone to know what’s out there… As far as I know, I was the only player of Ultimate Hero! Waifu Rescue! Now that I’ve given up, the bastard behind that app is going to want someone new… So keep an eye out.

You’ve been warned.

First, let me say thank you for using this guide and I sincerely hope you find benefit from it. Now Guardians, you've either returned from a hiatus - are a "New Light" that is unsure where to begin your journey - or are simply looking for an all-in-on solution to bookmark to keep track of things. This guide aims to help you through that process depending on what you're seeking in Destiny's Universe.
It is HIGHLY recommended that New Light players complete the introduction quest chains as they become available in order to get them out of the way of potentially impeding progress down the road (some activities require progress on this to access them).
Note: With New Light, all destinations are free-roam accessible (after unlocking them), however, you will need to own the content specified in order to access all activities and quests.
Disclaimer: Exotic weapon links direct to Light.gg purely for display / information purposes and quest name links will refer to a youtube video for reference, if available (credit goes to each creator linked- most are Datto ngl, but none of them are mine). Section Titles link to Bungie's information page for said content. Lastly, "New" means it came with that release, not necessarily still new.

-=[Guardian Guide - Where to begin?]=-

This is where the opinions will differ greatly, as each person will have their own opinion on where to start or where to go. Here's mine, depending on which guardian you are (new/returning):
First, Welcome to the community! You'll want to start and finish all of your "New Light / Introduction" Quests and be working on your "Main Quest", if you feel frisky - finish the location specific ones too. The reason for this is to open up the game to you (access to modes and destinations for some other things), and get items to start with, but more importantly - get those quests out of your quest tab. This will decrease clutter and allow you to eventually grab more bounties to maximize xp gains and rank up - earning more rewards (until they shift away from this a bit in September). Yes, the amount of quests you have will influence the amount of bounties you can carry overall.
The "Quests" (cards) that Zavala, Shaxx, and The Drifter have for pick-up are what's referred to as either a "pinnacle" or "ritual" weapon depending on the season they launched during. While at time of writing this some of them are very strong, borderline must have items, in season 12 (September) Destiny 2 will undergo a fundamental change affecting what you use in end-game / power enabled content with legendary weapons and armor having a maximum infusion level. Do not let this dissuade you from getting them or playing how you like, just be mindful that some will not follow your power climb at a later date.
Now that you've worked through what you need to, and have started on what items you want to get, proceed to the next section on "Leveling your Guardian" to begin your climb to the top.
First, I'd like to ask what activity are you pursuing?
If your goal is Trials, Raids or other end-game activities then be sure to check above on how to pick up what you've missed since you were last with us. You can probably proceed to the next section labelled "Leveling Your Guardian" as your focus would lean more towards getting to the end-game as fast as possible.
If time is not of the essence, then I would suggest working through your quest tab in order to make it less daunting. Right now, Destiny 2 is in a place that feels like it has no direction, and that's because of Bungie's desire for player agency. They want you to play the way you want, so take them up on that notion. Use some of the resources listed above in order to link up with other guardians to achieve your goals.
If a Title (seal) has your eye, be sure to check all of it's requirements before you set out to obtain it as most will require an associated collections badge to be completed by at least one guardian class in addition to other triumphs located within. Click to "view contents" on any title you're thinking of chasing so you can better prepare.
Once you've become acclimated to some of the changes since you last played, the list below will help you get to the max power level so you can participate in some of the activities you have as end-goals. After the power climb, we'll talk about Armor 2.0 and the term "sun-setting" that you see everywhere you go.

Leveling Your Guardian

Starting in Shadowkeep every guardian was boosted to at least 750 depending on when you last played. For each and every Guardian out there, the message is the same on how to reach a higher power level: play the content you enjoy the most until you reach 1000. At the time of updating this, that is the current soft-cap where you will then need to turn your attention to activities that reward Powerful Gear which will take you to the hard-cap of 1050.
But wait, there's more! You can push beyond this to a pinnacle-cap of 1060 at which your progress will only continue by leveling your Seasonal Artifact. The numbers I've listed up until now are referred to as your Overall Gear Score. This will vary from the number that is displayed on your guardian's inventory screen (Gear Score + Artifact Level = Displayed Power)
So, which activities do I complete to go beyond 1000?
Powerful Gear sources are varied by "tier" and a higher tier can/will net a higher item.
--With Season 11's launch, this list is being updated as information becomes available and some sources may need adjustment.--
  1. Weekly Flashpoint
  2. Nightfall Ordeal Challenge (just completions)
  3. Vendor Bounty Challenges (complete 8 daily bounties for each)
  4. Luna's Calling - Eris Morn, Moon
  5. Nightmare Slayer - Lectern of Enchantment, Moon
  6. Nightmare Hunts (just completions)
  7. Weekly Re-playable Moon Story Mission
  8. Crucible Rotator Matches Challenge

  1. Trials of Osiris 3 Win Milestone (requires 1010 to enter)
  2. Contact PE Weekly Challenge

  1. Trials of Osiris 5 Win Milestone

Okay! I have a gear score of 1050.. what now?
Pinnacle Activities will push you ever-so-slightly towards your goal of MAX Power, 1060.

  1. Weekly Core Playlist Challenges (Strikes, Crucible, Gambit)
  2. 5000 Clan XP Challenge via Hawthorne, Tower Bazaar
  3. Pit of Heresy Dungeon, Moon
  4. Master Nightmare Hunt Challenge
  5. 100k Score in Nightfall: Ordeal
  6. Garden of Salvation Raid
  7. Iron Banner Bounties (when active)
  8. Trials of Osiris 7 Win Milestone
  9. Trials of Osiris Flawless Chest
  10. Prophecy Dungeon, Tower
  11. Prismatic Recaster Weekly Challenge / Mission

-=[Guardian Guide - Armor 2.0 and Beyond]=-

With the launch of Shadowkeep armor was revamped and now has a lot more utility than just looking fancy. At first glance it can be overwhelming, so go at your own pace, or take a visit to destiny2builds like I mentioned earlier if you're super interested in customization and build-crafting.
One of the main things you will want to make a mental note of when diving into Armor 2.0 is the Elemental Affinity of each armor piece you acquire. In short, this determines what mods can be equipped to it, and therefor what weapons are available to you that can be enhanced by those mods.
Here is a handy guide made by Niris that will show you a visual breakdown of what goes where, and which element it requires.

So you've seen everyone, everywhere, either for or against this and can't make heads or tails on how to feel about it or how directly it will affect the way you play Destiny 2. Legendary sun-setting means that all Legendary equipment (with Last Wish / Garden of Salvation having an "extension" on this) will have a maximum level to which it can be infused. (Image for example) This will begin to be shown in season 11 [June 9th 2020] and will start affecting gear after Year 4's launch in September 2020. The first to be affected by this will be items introduced in seasons 1-8, gear will then have a proverbial shelf-life of one year from it's release. Gear that is re-introduced in a later season (new icon) will have the new one year shelf life.
What does this mean?
In power advantage enabled activities, such as Trials of Osiris, Iron Banner, and Invasions in Gambit, you will be affected by the gear you choose to use in that content. Additionally, items that have a power lower than an activity that has a "recommended power level" will also cause you to either do less than normal damage (weapon) or take more than normal damage (armor).

-=[Guardian Guide - Closing Notes]=-

I really do hope this helps more than a few of you and if there is anything that you feel should be added (or corrected) in this list, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be updating this thread regularly as the game changes and as suggestions come in, as long as they fit within this sub's guidelines and the character cap of course. Again, thank you for taking the time to use this guide, and remember:
Eyes up Guardian.
Edit #1: Fixed error, I also wanted to thank everyone for the awards - much appreciated!
Edit #2: Season of Arrivals info being added as I have time / confirm sources. Please stand by.

Crypto-world vs COVID-19: how the crypto community fights the virus pandemic
Binance, TRON, Ripple Labs, dozens of other companies and thousands of ordinary users are trying to contribute to the global war against the spread of coronavirus. DeCenter has compiled examples of blockchain companies channeling their resources into the fight against the pandemic.
Computing power for research COVID-19
Research and development of vaccines requires an incredible amount of computing power. And the crypto world is ready to share them.
So, a number of crypto companies have joined the project of the University of Washington Folding at Home, which, using distributed computing, studies viruses and diseases, and also develops pharmaceuticals against them. Now the researchers of the project are trying to understand how the proteins of the coronavirus work — this will help develop methods to combat it. The project recently simulated the work of an Ebola virus protein and helped scientists develop a drug. Part of their resources was donated by the American developer of Ethereum tokens CoreWeave, the Dutch blockchain company Bitfury, the decentralized computing network Golem and the blockchain platform Tezos, The Cardano Foundation and others. You can also share the computing power of your computer and join the Folding at Home job.
You can provide your computer for virus research through the LiquidApps CoVax application. It directs unused PC resources to vaccine research. The application works in several stages: gathering a community and launching a separate LiquidChain network, selecting validators and, finally, connecting to research. Now the project is at the first stage — the infrastructure and services in the dApp network are built.
Charity
Some crypto companies have launched vigorous charity work to help hospitals and people affected by the pandemic around the world.
So, in December last year, Binance launched its own charity project “Binance for Wuhan”, transferring $1.4 million into it. By early March, the company had donated several batches of medicines and protective equipment to three hundred hospitals, medical teams and command and control centers for prevention and control in Wuhan diseases.
Binance also launched the Crypto Against COVID initiative, which aims to raise money to fight the pandemic through its Binance Charity foundation. The company hopes to raise $4 million that will go to purchase medical supplies for countries affected by the virus, including Italy, Germany and the United States. Anyone can transfer cryptocurrencies to the Binance fund. So far, 316.2 MTC has been raised — $2.2 million, of which Binance itself donated $1 million. It is unclear where and what exactly this money will go to — the company said that it intends to buy all the necessary supplies and send it to hospitals in the affected countries.
Binance also announced that it was ready to donate up to $1 million to fight the virus. True, it chose a dubious method for this — it would donate a dollar from each repost of the tweet. At the time of the publication of the article, reposts were done 10,300 times — the amount is too modest. The company also promised that if a million retweets are collected by April 1, it will double its donations, but, unfortunately, this did not happen.
In late January, the Chinese blockchain company Krypital launched a charity campaign to purchase medicines for coronavirus victims in Wuhan.
The company also announced that it will create a blockchain donation system that will increase the transparency and efficiency of fundraising. A similar platform is being developed by another Chinese cryptocompany, Hyperchain.
On March 12, the Helperbit charity blockchain platform announced the start of fundraising for the Italian Committee of the Red Cross — the Colli Albani Committee, which is fighting a pandemic. $10,000 will be used to diagnose cases of the virus, all other money will be used to purchase the necessary medical equipment. The stated purpose of the collection is 3.8964 MTC, and at the time of publication of the article 3.26 MTC was collected, or about $22,700. The Red Cross also supports the crypto startups Young Srl and Blockchain Education Network Italy.
In late March, the Giving Block charity crypto platform announced the creation of the #СryptoCOVID19 alliance. It includes companies such as Gitcoin, Brave, Gemini and more than a dozen others. The Gitcoin project also announced a $100,000 collection in favor of projects working on the COVID-19 study.
Triffic Augmented Reality gaming application announced a $10,000 collection for the World Health Organization (WHO), but only about $1,500 was listed at the time of publication. For a donation, you need to buy one of the special items in the game: toilet paper, a disinfector, or a protective mask.
On March 25, Ripple Labs donated $200,000 to the Tipping Point Emergency Response Fund and the Silicon Valley Anti-Coronavirus Foundation.
In the midst of a pandemic, it is necessary to support not only the healthcare system, but also business. So, crypto trader and founder of Onchain Capital, Ran Neuner, opened a fund of $10 million to help cryptocurrency and other startups in a difficult situation due to the market situation. Neuner himself has launched several startups and knows firsthand that sometimes companies can change the world, but they need help to survive difficult times. In addition to helping with money, the trader also promised to help with his business contacts and mentoring. Neuner’s initiative was joined by former Techstars blockchain managing director Yossi Hasson, who plans to expand the fund to $50– $100 million.
A wave of free connections to services has reached the crypto world. Orchid startup, a decentralized VPN service, offers journalists free access. This should help those avoid censorship and transmit information no matter where they are. To get free access, you must write to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]), confirming your status as a journalist or indicating past publications.
You can help not only with money, but also with your own knowledge. So, lawyers Grant Gulovsen from the law firm Gulovsen and Rafael Jacobi from Crypto Lawyers have teamed up to offer members of the crypto community free 20-minute legal advice in an online format. Experts help crypto companies comply with regulatory requirements and corporate law.
Blockchain Benefits in Fighting a Pandemic
On March 27, the World Health Organization (WHO) launched the blockchain platform to combat COVID-19 — MiPasa. It should help in tracking and predicting regional and global epidemiological trends, finding asymptomatic carriers of the virus, infection hotspots, and sharing pandemic data.
MiPasa is built on the Hyperledger Fabric platform in collaboration with companies such as IBM, Oracle and Microsoft. A number of national healthcare institutions — the United States, Canada, Europe and China — are also contributing to this project.
Several dozen blockchain applications have been launched in China to help combat the spread of the virus. They are used to manage personal data of citizens, track and protect the information collected, implement pass systems, distribute medical supplies and collect charitable donations. For example, the technology startup FUZAMEI launched a blockchain platform designed to increase the transparency and efficiency of charitable activities and the exchange of medical data. Blockchain also helped circumvent censorship — Chinese journalist Sara Zheng used the Ethereum network to publish an interview with a doctor from Wuhan.
Blockchain is also considered as the most effective means by which it would be possible to distribute financial support for citizens. So, in late March, the US Congress considered (but was rejected) a bill to launch a digital dollar in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
Messari data aggregator has launched a new resource for tracking statistics on the distribution of coronavirus in the United States — COVID-19 Tracker. It collects up-to-date information on the spread of the virus in all 50 states, several regions, and the Grand Princess cruise ship. A similar service, CoronavirusAPI, was also launched by BlockSeer founder Danny Young.
Algorand Foundation launched iReport-Covid, a site that collects data on people’s health through questionnaires. The creators of the project believe that this information can be useful even after 10 years, when the researchers continue to study the virus.
Enigma is developing the SafeTrace platform, which allows you to track the contacts of people with the infected, while maintaining their confidentiality. The same system within the framework of the online hackathon “WirVsVirus”, initiated by the German government, was developed by the IOTA community. It is called TrackCovidCluster and allows you to track the location of the patient and the circle of his contacts. The data is anonymous, and potentially infected people may receive a risk warning. People with a positive coronavirus test can use this app to share this with their contacts. Then uninfected people can find out that they were in the immediate vicinity of the infected. Analogs also work in China, South Korea and Taiwan.
At the end of March, the Decentralized AI Alliance (DAIA), an alliance of more than 50 companies, laboratories, and nonprofits engaged in research and development in the field of artificial intelligence, launched the COVID-19 hackathon. The event will last 8 weeks. Its goal is to develop and launch open source code and tools that can be used by the medical community to defeat COVID-19.
In conclusion
It’s great that in difficult times, the crypto community is trying as much as possible to help and contribute to the fight against the coronavirus pandemic. This will help the industry in positioning itself as socially responsible and move further away from the image of the financial pyramid.

2020.05.17 00:20 Mcheetah2 "Scoob" sucks!

I mean, the first 15-20 minutes, is okay. But then, it goes downhill really quickly. This movie is just shit. I hate it. It seems like it could've been good, but then never takes off. It sucks.
First of all, this is going to be the most dated movie released all year. It's trying to be "2020" but it already feels outdated. Like a 2011 movie. I'm not even kidding. Polished CG aside, the references and memes in this movie are already outdated. This fucking movie is SO "hello, fellow kids." Playing Tupac in the opening scene, then "All I Do Is Win," and yes, there's even dabbing in this movie. Fucking DABBING. This movie is more tone deaf than the original Sonic trailer with Gangstas Paradise. It's cringey AF. And why is Simon Cowell a cameo in this? He hasn't been relevant since like, 2010? Maybe? Is this movie legitimately an old movie that just got released from Development Hell after some long legal battles or something? Cause this shit don't feel 2020 at all. Despite how hard they're trying to make it feel "hip." It feels like a late 2017/early 2018 movie that's already outdated as hell.
Secondly, it's not even a Scooby Doo movie. I won't spoil the plot yet, but everything people know about Scooby Doo, isn't here. I don't even like Scooby Doo per se. It's the most milktoaste, cliche, never-was-that-good "iconic" cartoon out there. I mean, I don't hate it, but it's very much a "watch when you're bored" kind of cartoon, kinda like Family Guy. But how do you fuck up the plot of a Scooby Doo movie? Establish a mystery, establish a bunch of characters, then have the gang try to solve the mystery, then introduce a monster, then have Velma (the only useful member of Mystery Inc since the 60s) figure out how to beat the monster, then have Shaggy and Scooby accidentally beat the monster. Reveal the villain, and let's all go home. But nope. Its a pseudo-superhero movie. Get fucked, writers.
Third, the voice acting isn't good and neither are these versions of the Mystery Inc. They race-swapped Velma to be Hispanic and have berry-dyed hair. And Will Forte is a bad Shaggy. I didn't even remember this, but Matthew Lillard (from the live action movies from the early 2000s) has been Shaggy's new voice ever since then in all the straight-to-DVD movies. And they didn't use him so they could instead get "star power." Which I still don't get. You'd think it'd be a GOOD thing to not have to pay celebrities a ton of money if you're doing an animated movie. Why not just get real fucking voice actors?! Disney never used celebrities in their 90s movies unless their voice was iconic and matched the character, like Robin Williams, Eddie Murphy or Danny Devito. Their main stars were almost never celebrities though. It's pointless and it makes no fucking sense to waste all that money on a celebrities voice if it's generic and unrecognizable, especially if they're using A-minus stars like Amanda Seyfried or Zac Efron. But they still got the real voice actor for Scooby Doo though. Frank Welker. Why get the real Scooby voice, but not the real Shaggy? No one cares about Fred, Daphne, or even Velma, so if you wanted some A-minus stars like them, you can use them. But just get fucking Matthew Lillard as Shaggy already. It's hard hearing Will Forte in a character that's clearly Shaggy.
Finally, this movie has an identity crisis. Not just in the voice acting, but it can't tell if it wants to be 2020 and hip, or timeless and old school. Is it a comedy movie, or a superhero movie? Is it a Scooby Doo movie or a Hannah Barbera ensemble movie? The tone is inconsistent. The monster gags are the same old school Scooby Doo stuff - the two in the entire movie there are - but the rest of the movie is trying to be so modern, and hip, and cool, with the smartphone apps and the hip hop soundtrack and the dabbing and DJ'ing and shit. Make up your fucking mind! Better yet, just stick to the formula instead of trying to jump on the superhero bandwagon eight years too late, and using Hannah Barbera properties as a poor excuse to do it. This movie is already outdated and makes it seem like an even bigger waste of money than it already is!
"Scoob" is hot garbage and I feel bad for the animators who had to work on this, because the animation is actually the one good thing about this movie. It's sharp and clean and looks nice. But everything else sucks about it. The writers should be ashamed of themselves. Screw you guys. And I don't even like Scooby Doo! It's a boring, uninteresting cartoon, like I said. But even the Flintstones and John Cena movies were better than this. Hell, they were actually good. This shit sucks, though!

2020.05.13 21:17 circleio Dash Core Group - Desperately Seeking Bankers

Introduction
This story starts with DCG and it’s relationship with Dr. Darren Tapp of ASU (Arizona State University). But Dr. Tapp does not stand alone, for there is a loose network of friends with a shared agenda, not only to make dash a regulator-friendly project but to wilfully weaken end-user privacy by upholding a principle of transparency-first.
More than ever, society is engaged in a war on privacy. And when it comes to financial transactions, DCG has taken the position of transparency-first. In sharp contrast, many other projects in this industry are either improving end-user privacy (decred, tezos etc), or actively pursuing privacy first (monero, beam etc).
As you may know, the scaling wars of the past revolved around block size, eventually giving way to “big blocker” projects like bitcoin cash and dash. By enforcing small blocks, Blockstream successfully syphoned off miner fees to the Lightning Network and it’s own Liquid Network. I believe we may be witnessing a similar event with dash. This time it’s not a scaling issue, it’s a privacy issue; transparency-first vs privacy-first.
The Power of Inaction
As many of you know, Dr. Darren Tapp is a research professor at ASU. And you may also be aware, in July 2019, the dash treasury paid ASU 345 dash for research into zero-knowledge proofs. Here’s an excerpt from the proposal along with the relevant link:

“This proposal seeks funding to renew our annual funding commitment to ASU’s Blockchain Research Lab and specifically to fund a research project which would investigate methods to apply zero-knowledge proofs to blockchain identities. It is possible Dash could leverage this research to apply zero-knowledge proofs to identity functions within the Dash network.”
https://www.dashcentral.org/p/dash-core-group-research

To date, there has been zero feedback from this project and, so far, all requests for an update have resulted in silence, including it’s omission from the DCG quarterly call.
I am particularly concerned by a seemingly gross contradiction. The result of this research into zero-knowledge proofs was to apply to blockchain identities but not to actual payments when they hit the dash blockchain. DCG and it’s proponents argue that privacy-first negates the ability to audit the chain for inflation. But if this was true, how can anyone argue with confidence that zero-knowledge proofs would only work with blockchain identities? It is, I say, a bit disingenuous to suggest it can work one way but not the other.
A Tapp Perspective
I now want to draw your attention to a recent interview between Joel Valenzuela and Dr. Darren Tapp on 8 May 2020:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tikj0O0xphE

Here is a particularly pertinent quote from Dr. Tapp:

@ 1:06:13 DT: “Well, I’ll just tell you my use case for dash, right. You’re talking about your use case. My use case for dash is, well, I’m not going to worry about the coffee guy thinking I have a whole bunch of money because I’m going to pay with my phone and I’m only going to keep a small amount on my phone, right? So that right there, they would have trouble you know, they have to go a few steps back and then they’re not even sure if it’s mine if there’s no Private Send. Um, if I don’t use Private Send. And if, let’s say, if I did want to take some money and put it into Coinbase. Well, if I don’t use Private Send and they’re asking “where’s the money came from?” - and that’s what they’re going to do - it’s going to be a little bit easier to say, “this is where it came from”, right?. I mean, I wouldn’t lie to them, I’d tell them the same thing no matter if I used Private Send or not, but I just think I’m going to have less problems with the bank and stuff if it wasn’t so obfuscated. So yeah, I think there’s a kind of, I think there needs to be room for both on chain. There needs to be.. I mean, I’m glad you’re enjoying Private Send. I think there are some improvements that can be made to Private Send. Umm, but I mean, there were some discussion of MimbleWimble and there is, no, we do not do that. No no no. But like, I mean, if you want to bring over some improvements, maybe start reading about the Cash Fusion that’s on the Bitcoin Cash. Umm, so err and like, I believe if you read Cash Fusion, their paper, I believe we can do Private Send in a way where the masternodes doesn’t know which output corresponds to which input. So, right now we trust that the masternodes aren’t paying attention, aren’t going to, you know… they’re... yeah I mean, and they have the word trust in it, they have a vested interest in the network working so that Private Send works the way it’s supposed to work. But, you know, at the same time, if you can do some small little cryptographic thing for no real cost on your processors and stuff like that, umm, why wouldn’t you? So that’s one thing I think that can be brought in. I think Cash Fusion also might do a better job of keeping the balance separate or something like that, but err., I would definitely be in favor of improving Private Send. Umm, but also at the same time, I’m glad that I’m given a choice if I want to use it or not. And pretty much anything when I’m interacting with the banking system, which I know you’re doing a fiat-free, so you don’t need to worry about that Joel.. but when you’re interacting with the banking system, the easier it is to explain to them, the better off, the easier time they’ll give you. That’s the way it is.”

In other words, Dr. Tapp’s priority is transparency-first for the benefit of the banking system.
What I found particularly interesting was Dr. Tapp’s body language. While he was making the above statement, at 1:07:04 he says, “I wouldn’t lie to them [the bank]” and at this exact same moment he goes to touch his face and pulls back. This is a body language clue that he’s lying or somewhat anxious about saying this. This doesn’t mean he is actually lying because with body language you normally need multiple clues to be sure, but having watched it multiple times, I am personally more convinced than not that he was in fact lying or anxious.
Dr. Tapp has outright rejected MimbleWimble, which is fine because MW is just one of several privacy enhancing technologies. But given the complete lack of feedback regarding zero-knowledge proofs from ASU. And given Dr. Tapp’s stance on transparency-first for the benefit of the banking system, I am wondering if there’s more to this than just one person’s opinion on the matter.
The Yes Chain
DCG asserts that dash has fewer privacy features than bitcoin. To make this case, considerable effort has been made to educate exchanges and regulators:
https://blog.dash.org/dash-complies-with-the-financial-action-task-force-fatf-guidelines-including-the-travel-rule-a4c658efc89d

According to DCG, the benefits of a transparency-first approach are:
a) Transaction monitoring
b) Identifying and blocking transactions that utilized mixing, or are in close proximity of known bad actors or sanctioned wallet addresses.
c) Track anonymity enhanced convertible virtual currencies and wallet addresses sending more private transactions.
d) This means that the VASP can choose to identify, block, and report on all transactions sent with Dash PrivateSend and can track and report on all the components of a mixed transaction.
e) Reporting on your users’ blockchain transactions
f) Establish an automated record keeping system for suspicious activity
g) Activity reporting, customer due diligence, and currency transaction reporting.
h) Track anonymity enhanced convertible virtual currencies and wallet addresses sending more private transactions.
i) Customizable risk scoring

Clearly, the scoring / ranking of coin histories (“risk assessment”) is producing a situation where some coins are more worthy than others.
Let us also consider the recent initiative to get dash re-listed on Japanese exchanges at a cost of 428 dash: https://app.dashnexus.org/proposals/listing-dash-in-japan/overview
Coinfirm-ation
For a number of years, in pursuit of regulatory approval, DCG has been courting chain analysis companies. This started in August 2016 when Robert Wiecko (Dash COO) was invited to attend a bitcoin meetup in Warsaw where he met Pawel Kuskowski (CEO and co-founder of Coinfirm) . Here is the original proposal along with the subsequent Coinfirm interview with Amanda B Johnson:
https://www.dash.org/forum/threads/dash-on-warsaw-block-on-25-08-2016.10211/
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJOhIkeK3Ho

Mr Wiecko’s original proposal failed to mention any relationship or intention to engage with chain analysis companies. Nor was it mentioned that this meetup itself was sponsored by Coinfirm. It comes with little surprise that Robert Wiecko does, in fact, have some experience working with compliance (see @ 27:05 of Amanda’s video).

“Btw, we have, both of us have a compliance background. My last job was with [inaudible] bank, before that within a banking compliance department”

Block the Blockchain
Karen Hsu has a long history with dash. Formally from BlockCypher, she helped dash with various integrations, including Payza. She is now CEO of BlockchainIntel and in April 2020, she helped to facilitate an integration with Reciprocity Trading.
https://blog.dash.org/dash-core-group-reciprocity-trading-and-blockchainintel-focus-on-transparency-in-digital-currency-7a71c8ff84ec

“As more people will be interacting online now and potentially in the future, it will be increasingly important to provide transparency so people can trust those they cannot see,”

Karen is interested in blockchain, machine learning and analytics. And in 2018 she worked with various law enforcement agencies to help track and trace five million dollars worth of dash, allegedly stolen from a retired couple:
https://medium.com/@karenhsumaif-you-have-digital-evidence-for-a-theft-whats-holding-up-justice-e7ebf99eddf0

“The thieves didn’t move the funds right away. A couple months after the initial theft, they started to move the funds to multiple wallet addresses across the world. During their hundreds of transfers, the thieves converted the Dash into other cryptocurrencies. We were able to track their every transfer, whether it was from one Dash address to another, or from a Dash address into another cryptocurrency. In the end, the thieves had transferred the stolen Dash into hundreds of different wallet addresses and exchanged the Dash for Bitcoin, Ether and Bitcoin Cash.
We collaborated with the FBI and traced the funds to an exchange in Asia. Through our connections with that exchange, law enforcement was able to obtain details of the account owner, which led to a bank account. By September 2018, three months after the theft, our tools and collaboration with law enforcement had identified a person involved in this theft. At that point, the victims, law enforcement and us at BlockchainIntel were hopeful there would be some recovery of stolen funds. But that’s when things slowed down. A lot.”

The narrative is clear; an innocent couple were victims of financial crime. Did the thief use Private Send? Was the thief dumb enough not to use Private Send? Is this the type of scenario that Dr. Tapp endorses for transparency-first when dealing with a financial institution?
In contrast, let us take a look at a story from January 2017 by NIAC (National Iranian American Council):
https://www.niacouncil.org/press_room/niac-concerned-u-s-banks-denying-financial-services-iranians-u-s/

“Over the past few years, Iranian visa-holders resident in the United States have seen their bank accounts at U.S. financial institutions shuttered as a result of U.S. sanctions. The most recent case is that of Chase Bank, where NIAC has learned that Chase is closing the bank accounts of Iranian visa-holders. NIAC is deeply concerned that U.S. banks are denying financial services to Iranians in the United States on the basis of their national origin and calls on Chase Bank and other U.S. financial institutions to cease and desist from such discriminatory policies. At the same time, NIAC believes that the repeated nature of these account closures makes it incumbent on the U.S. administration to take immediate steps to provide clarity as to the scope of existing U.S. sanctions laws — none of which bar U.S. banks from opening and maintaining accounts for Iranian visa-holders resident in the United States.”

Great! Who needs banks when Iranians can use dash! But then again, what if the recent history of your dash coins was linked to an innocent Iranian, disqualified and excluded by sanctions?
Closing
A global peer-to-peer electronic cash system needs to be cheap, fast and very easy to use. Dash’s technical ability to meet demand is very much in sight and the Velocity protocol certainly seems promising. But digital cash also requires a high degree of fungibility. The less fungibility there is, the more discretion and division it sows. The path of a coin should not unduly taint a person’s reputation.
Incremental improvements have been made to Private Send but it is today, fundamentally, the same as it was six years ago. Mixing takes a long time and the user requires knowledge to use it in a safe manner. For example, external actors proactively breaking VPN connections to reveal the underlying IP address during mixing.
A poor user experience is probably why Private Send isn’t used very much and that seems like a very convenient situation for those people actively pursuing regulatory approval. I have to wonder, has the internal workings of DCG been compromised by state level actors? Is this why key members of DCG have refused to undergo a polygraph test?

2020.05.12 06:20 TheBaitAndTheSniper (RF) Part 1 - Love is Overrated (Chapter 2)

Chapter 2 – My Life is a Mess
You have to understand something, I didn't want this to happen. I didn't try to meet someone, I just stumbled upon her. My life was a mess before she came into it. Most of my friends are ex's and they all talk to each other in a passive aggressive manner. I'm a pushover and I do nothing to make them stop. I actually just ignore it and let it run its course. Well, things were going well with Chelsea. I would talk to her and just see how her day is going or we would just play games but not say anything. It was just the mere presence that made everything that much better. I went to an amusement park with some friends, they really wanted to go and I had extra tickets and fast passes to let us ride anything we wanted without having to wait in lines. I remember telling Chelsea I was going and she said she would miss me. "I'll still have my phone on me, don't worry, I'll respond to your messages." She wasn't actually texting me, just using a group messaging app. We hadn't swapped phone numbers yet. "Oh, ok! But I don't want to bother you! You should enjoy your rides." "I'll enjoy them but I still want to talk to you." "That's fine with me. I love that. When are you leaving?" "I'm already on the way there, I'll meet the others there and give them the tickets and armbands so they can come in with me." "Well, what kind of rides are there? Are they really scary?" At this point the conversation became very detailed, describing each ride and telling her I hate heights but I'm still doing it. After a couple of them my fears subside. She hinted at the idea of wanting to come and I told her I would buy her a flight and a hotel room if she wanted to come, she just had to tell me when. What was I doing?! I felt as if I was being pushy and really forward but yet she responded with great joy. It was at this point I found out she couldn't really leave home because she was taking care of her mother that had recently received a triple bypass. I don't actually know the underlying issue but I remember her being upset and telling me it was at the point where her mom had to receive a tube placement in her lungs to drain fluid build up. A thoracostomy, that's the procedure. I'm a PA with four degrees and I was still deciding on whether I wanted to go to medical school. I knew what she was talking about and she felt comfortable telling me this and asking me questions about how things would go because I understood all the medical jargon.
As the day came to a close we had already talked about everything that had to do with the park and I had to drive home at midnight. She was drunk and wanted to stay awake until I got home and we could talk some more. I still messaged her as I drove home and she eventually stopped responding the closer I got to home. She had fallen asleep, there was nothing I could do about that and I couldn't really ask for more. She had already stayed awake all night to just talk to me. Maybe I’m just a hopeless romantic but I actually think I loved this girl. I didn't say like, I meant love. In my life I have fallen in love 4 other times in life. The first one was with a girl named Madison, she was amazing and we were essentially the same person but in different genders. The second was a girl named Amanda. She worked at a fast food restaurant I worked while I was in high school. The third was a girl named Callie, I met her in high school. The fourth was named Elke, she was German, I had also met her playing games online but I hadn't taken to this relationship until later on life, after I enlisted.
People always kept their distance from me, I never had many friends. I was terrible at talking to people and when I tried I didn't really have anything to talk about. Everyone seemed to have interesting conversations but everything was meaningless, even in high school or younger than that. I remember being 12 years old and hearing other kids at school talk about homework and rant for a whole day about how to figure out how to do certain problems. I knew the answer already, I just didn't say anything. I thought to myself, "if you guys don't know how to do it by now then you're dumb, just give up, it's meaningless." Needless to say, everyone was right to stay away from me. Throughout the years I met others in different classes, still didn't engage in conversation, even during groupwork. I was always asked out on dates and I knew people liked me because of that but I could never go. My mother was way too…protective, let's say, of me. She wouldn't let me go anywhere, wouldn't let me have sleepovers, I couldn't even play sports. I was stuck inside and I was beaten almost daily. I actually don't have many memories of being young and not getting hit.
A week had gone by and I hadn't really spoken to anyone because the anniversary of my friends' death had just passed and I tended to keep to myself. Chelsea thought I had a problem with her and we basically ignored each other. We would play something and I would be drunk and say something dumb like "I'm bored…I have to find something else to do…"
I remember exactly what she said. "You don't have to be here if you don't want, sorry we're boring."
I felt bad, I didn't mean to make her feel that way but I didn't see a way to come back from that. I brushed it off and kept playing. After we finished the mission I left the group and went to watch TV. She messaged me and asked if I had a problem with her. I told her no. I told her about my friends and that around this time I always get this way and I'm sorry for treating her like shit. "I understand…I just thought I did something wrong." "No, you could never do anything wrong. I'm sorry about that. I just need a little bit of time." "I'm here if you need to talk." "I know. Thank you."
A few weeks went by, I didn't really talk to anyone but my nieces. We had spent our time learning to cook and doing homework. I hold 4 Bachelor's of Science in Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry and Neuroscience which they insist I use to help them with her homework. Their geometry homework…but that's beside the point. We were trying to make braised pork ribs and so we marinated our ribs for 24 hours. We had no idea what we were doing, we guessed! The ingredients were some I can't recall and they were mixed in ratios I couldn't remember. After cooking them over a wood fire we realized they tasted horrible! We tossed them out where some racoons had made a home in our backyard and let them eat. The little bandits, they were adorable.
I've had ex girlfriends get beaten by their husbands or boyfriends and they called me to help them out. I always say yes, I can't ever say no to someone in need. One of them, Shauna, did call me and tell me her boyfriend, Angel, hurt her. She needed help. I bought her a flight here to Ohio and paid to have a moving team go pack her stuff. I just can't say no to someone in need.
My exes that live near me always come over and hang out with my nieces. They'll take them out shopping and come watch movies with them. What am I supposed to say? Stay away? Don't ever come by again? They're helping me out by entertaining the girls so I can get some work done – I still need to finish patient charts.

2020.05.03 02:54 isaacisdoingok I received very similar “meet-up” texts from two unknown numbers

I received suspiciously similar texts from two unknown numbers about a “meet-up”
I’m kind of confused as of right now. I’m new reddit and this is the first time writing, but I figured my current experience is worthy of posting here. I’m from Hawaii so the towns mentioned are just towns from where I’m from, so don’t think too much of them.
So a little less than a month ago on April 4th, 2020, I received a text from an unknown number that read,”Hey is this Kyle? This is Mandy,, we matched on Tinder last time I came down town to Honolulu to hang with my cousin but we never met irl.. I’m back in town again if u still want to actually meet up while I’m here, are you around?” I screenshotted it thinking it was funny, sent it to my girlfriend to which we laughed and joked about. I texted saying,”lol this isn’t kyle, sorry” almost two hours later and she sent a text back almost immediately saying,”geez this is awful LOL,, i assume he slipped me the wrong number eheh.. I choose to believe he typed it wrong ;D. neway, ya know my names and how i look like, what’s urs?” Once again, I screenshotted the text and sent it to my girlfriend where we once again joked about it. Don’t judge me, but I left the conversation at that. I thought to myself that it’s just safer if I don’t continue to convo. This Mandy chick knows the guy she wanted to be with ghosted her, and if she can move on from that so quickly onto me, then it’ll be no time before she forgets about me. So I forget about the messages, delete the convo, and move on with my life.
Now today is May 2nd 2020, almost a month later, I receive another text from an unknown number. By the way, I have NEVER downloaded any online dating apps or even thought about it. Alright back to the story. I chillin on my bed, and I get another text from a number I don’t know. It reads,”Hey is this Doug? this is Amanda... we msged on bumble last time I came up to Waipahu to hang with my aunt but we didn’t meet for drinks,, I’m back in town again if you still want to really go out, are u free?” This struck me as I immediately remembered the text from a month back. It was formulated in basically the same exact way, just minor differences in the story. I once again screenshot the texts and send them to my girlfriend. We talk about it and try to think why I’d be receiving texts like this. This is the second time and it’s so similar to the first texts. What are the chances that it occurs twice for the same person. I’m thinking that it might be some sort of new human trafficking attempt but I’m still so unsure and don’t wanna jump the gun on it. But I’m sure we can all agree, that this isn’t normal in any way. I reply with a dry text this time saying “sorry this isn’t doug” and as you guessed it, immediately after, I receive a text almost exactly like the other text. It read,”whoa this is embarrassing LOL,, I assume he must’ve slipped me the wrong number lol.. I choose to think he typed it wrong :). anyway, u know my name n how i look like, whats urs?” At this point, I’m just really confused but just as disturbed. And for the first time, exactly 9 minutes go by, and the number sends “?????” so I’m a little freaked out. So now here I am, giving you this story.
I don’t know if this is the right place to report this story, or if anyone here has had or is currently experiencing anything similar. But I truly don’t know what to do about this. If anyone has any ideas on what I should do, please feel free to tell me. I posted the screenshots onto my reddit page so you can find them there. I originally posted this onto the creepyencounters subreddit but someone recommended I post it here as well so here I am. But thank you for reading, I have no answers, but I genuinely look forward to looking a little deeper into this thing.
